Hotel super bien ubicado en la zona colonial, muy rápido el check in y la habitación era pequeña con dos camas individuales, pero muy bien organizados los espacios. Me gustó la cercanía al malecón de Santo Domingo, los monumentos y restaurantes. El desayuno estaba muy bueno, era buffet con platillos variados, jugo, té y café. Sólo tuvimos un problema con la regadera el primer día, pero lo reporté en la recepción y lo arreglaron de forma inmediata. Lo que sí es que tienen un refrigerados con productos y agua que no están incluídos pero debo de decir que los precios muy caros, una botella de agua de 1.5 lts casi 4 usd, cuando en el super no llegaba ni a un dolar. Consejos: Nosotras tomamos un taxi desde la parada del Expreso bávaro que era la del parque Enriquillo hacia la zona colonial por 5 usd, posteriormente, nos arreglamos con el taxista y nos llevo del hotel al aeropuerto las Américas. Si alguien quiere los datos de contacto, por favor, mándeme un mensaje. La avenida del conde es donde pueden encontrar más souvenirs y a buen precio. Tengan cuidado con los vendedores callejeros que te dicen que venden plata .025 y larimar, muchas veces no son originales. Para entrar a catedral necesitan ir con ropa que cubra los hombros y falda abajo de la rodilla o pantalón. Algunos monumetos estaban cerrados porque había eventos como bodas y quinceañerasa.

Estuve en este hotel desde el 11 de enero hasta el 16 de enero 2023 Hotel con un vestibulo sencillo pero agradable. El de recepcion (Eric) muy amable. Igual la otra chica. Con relacion al cuarto buen aire. Baño limpio. Pero tiene problemas con la temperatura del agua. Fria sale caliente y viceversa. Es muy molestoso eso de regular el agua de la ducha.la cama y los matress flojos. Y las almohadas malisimas.En general solo me gusto que el estudio tenia nevera,estufa microndas,cafetera y tostadora. En general el hotel queda en un area tranquila. No tiene estacionamiento. Pero se puede caminar a pie a lugares turisticos. El desayuno muy bueno.puedes escoger el menu.El cuarto siempre estuvo limpio diariamente. Lo mejor eric de recepcion.

I was excited at the reviews from others, but it didn't live up to our expectations, unfortunately. The property looks great, has been mostly updated, and is well maintained. We had a terrace executive suite on the 3rd floor with a hot tub. However, there were several issues. Room: Water pressure is low and barely gets hot. I asked the front desk to look into the water pressure and nothing was done or followed up on. Due to the construction next door, it was very noisy from 8:45 am (even on Saturday), which also eliminated any privacy on the terrace. There's no sound insulation so we heard every person and conversation happening outside the room in the hallway. No face towels were provided. You have to ask for an iron/ironing board. They don't speak English so I had to walk down to the basement with the maintenance guy to find one, which we kept in the room. Staff: Slow, unattentive, has difficulty with closing out checks. We waited for at least 10 minutes every time we wanted to close a bill. You have to get up and find them to order, etc. They don't monitor the dining room or rooftop bar sufficiently to check on you. Property: Well-positioned to walk to a lot of restaurants, etc. The gym is horrible. It's the size of a bathroom and contains a bike with a fan-operated by a battery, which wasn't charged, a broken treadmill, one medicine ball, and free weights. Rooftop bar & Pool: Some nights movies are projected on a large silkscreen. The pool has no shade whatsoever. There are a few lounge chairs with no more than 2 umbrellas. Prepare to get burned. They don't have consistent policies for parties, closing and noise. One party was allowed to go until 2 am and we had to endure every conversation still taking place well after 2:30. I wouldn't stay here again.

Je n'aime pas vraiment être personnel, mais la dame du petit déjeuner à Colonial 154H Hotel n'aime pas son travail, servir les gens ou se lever tôt. Je suis un hôte plutôt patient (je l'espère;-)). c'est à propos de l'hospitalité, de l'amitié générale et de l'absence de tentative ... Cependant, le troisième jour, je me suis juste trouvé un autre endroit pour le petit déjeuner et plutôt payé extra (aller à la place principale devant la cathédrale - bon petit déjeuner, prix et service!) ... Ce hôtel est en fait un beau petit oasis au milieu du quartier colonial avec (petites mais) chambres bien décorées et personnel ami/compétent. Donc si vous pouvez obtenir une réservation qui ne comprend pas le petit déjeuner, je recommande fortement Colonial 154H, si ce n'est pas le cas, vérifiez les autres options ...

I stayed in El Beaterio for 4 nights. It’s such a beautiful casa museo located in a quiet area. The room is nice and clean decorated with old maps of La española. The courtyard has lots of sunlight and plants that I enjoyed my breakfast here (though you need to apply mosquito repellent as they are quite active if you come in early morning like 6-8am) Check out the terrace in the early morning and you would get a nice photo with sun rise. The staff here are very nice. I stayed in the room downstair the first night and I asked them to change my room to upper floor as i prefer more natural light in my room and they are really helpful to find a room for me and get it ready after I returned from a city walk tour. The breakfast choices are moderate with eggs, sausage, salamis, toast, fruits and yogurt. They also serve a cup of fresh juice and a big pot of hot coffee. The coffee was always hot no matter how long I had my breakfast which was great for me. I also like the location of El Beaterio a lot. It is close to everything but in a quiet and nice area which I feel safe and calm. The restaurant El Buho a few steps from the hotel serves very nice food with reasonable price. I had ceviche tropical and it was very tasty. I tried 4 restaurants in zona colonial and El Buho was my favorite. Highly recommend to stay in El Beaterio if you want to enjoy colonial charm away from the crowds.
