Pros: Very good breakfast and dinner. A wide selection of food. Drinks incl with dinner. First line to the beach. No street with cars in front of the hotel. Pleasant early season prices. Cons: The hotel was built many decades ago. Therefore, there is no elevator in it and you will have to drag your suitcase up the stairs. First from the reception to the lobby, then depending on the building where you were settled. If in building C in second floor, then 3 more floors on your own with all the luggage. I do not know the reason, but the smell at the reception and in the lobby is very bad: periodically it smells of sewage. The lobby looks very nice with new and good furniture, and we would really like to sit there, chat, maybe play something, but the smell of drain forced us to leave this floor as soon as possible. The same smell is observed in other places on the peninsula when you walk around the pools of other hotels. Maybe the reason for the smell in the lobby is the pool, which is located on the same level behind the wall? Well, knowing that doesn't help with the smell. Dear management, please fix it. The rooms are VERY small. I've never been in such a small bathroom before. I've never sat on such a small toilet. I've never showered in such a small shower. Well, but everything was clean and seems to be recently refurbished. It is OK for short or business stay.

We required some room facilities through hotel application form but it seems nobody reads this. Also the receptionist didn't inform us about additional facilities we can use so we had to remind him. Restaurant food is ok but there is a feeling that there is not enough stuff and that they cannot prepare tables on time. The room was ok but needs renovation. Cooling unit was leaking and during the first night ceiling fell on the floor and we had water all over. Hotel reacted fast and during our breakfast they repaired the ceiling. After repairing water was steel pouring from the climate but ceiling didn't fall again during our stay. Room was cleaned every day and that was ok. Last day we spotted cockroaches on the floor.

Just returned from a beautiful holiday visited this hotel several years ago now !loved it then and still do! About an hour distance from airport which to be honest went quickly due to the beautiful scenery! Hospitality is wonderful by all in Novigrad !even at one of the local banks where we managed to exchange the kunas we’d accumulated over the years ! there was no problem at all at the bank to exchange to euros! With no charge! Hotel was in a beautiful location a great walk into the town managed to do at least 10000 steps a day we so earnt a few beers and beautiful lunch in novigrad!Watch out for mosquitoes they really are out and about at the moment! As for the hotel the service was excellent! The restaurant never disappointed and the rooms were kept spotless ! Thankyou hotel maestral we will be back! A truly class holiday!!

The Hotel BO Palazzo is a classic and classy hotel, dating back almost 100 years with historic photographs hanging in the lobby. It was completely renovated not long ago, and is tasteful, elegant, and gracious with a yellow and white color scheme décor and large crystal chandeliers. It has a wonderful waterfront location at the corner end of the marina pier, with direct south and west facing sunset views, and is within very easy walking distance to the charming old town of Porec, the rest of town, and the parklike waterfront with shaded walking path, beaches, and beach bars & cafes. The suite in which we stayed was larger than my first two apartments after college – the photos on the website, as much as we pored over them to determine which room to prioritize to reserve, do not do this room or, presumably, any other rooms justice. The suite has solid burnished wood paneling, windows on three sides, a large balcony facing the water, a bedroom with a sliding wooden door, a large living area, a large formal dining area with a very large table, an office area, and two full baths. The lighting is chandeliers and chandelier sconses as well as lamps. It’s beautiful and is probably one of the nicest and most elegant rooms in which we’ve ever stayed. The only improvements would be to : 1. Add shade onto the balcony terrace via unbrellas (without a sun umbrella, you could really only go out there in early morning and late day; 2. Replace the jacuzzi tub in the en suite bathroom with a real walk in shower with a ceiling mounted showerhead and floor to ceiling glass doors. The tub is a nice idea but you cannot use it as a shower, so two people staying in the room lose the convenience and time saving benefit of the two full baths and cannot get ready simultaneously. The breakfast buffet is wonderful, with a broad scope of traditional Croatian and more English / American options – a good assortment of fruits, vegetables, and pastries; exceptional gluteny fresh breads; terrific melon; and well made tasty omelettes. The only non 5 star aspect is the juice wall dispenser. Seating is on the terrace by the water. Car parking is at the Isabella Valamar Hotel lot; the Hotel BO Palazzo picks you up and drops you off in a van; it’s a 8 minute or so ride. Parking is safe. The parking lot is near the large community athletic and fitness center; you can buy a short term pass and use the very good gym also. The Palazzo’s gym is not really usable except, perhaps, in the winter as it is on the ground floor, facing west, is very small, has just a few pieces of equipment, and is unbearably hot and humid as the glass windows and skylights suck in all the sun and the humidity of the pool piles on. San Servolo is a resort that combines camping (fancy camping) facilities and a bed and breakfast with a resort feel. It is divided into two sections with different options whether you are camping, prefer a ”mobile home” experience (more like a tiny house with an outdoor jacuzzi!), or the traditional hotel room. We opted for the hotel room. They have two buildings for that. One is located in the same as their spa (so pool and saunas in same building) and the other is a walk across the parking lot. Plentiful parking and our room was quite large. No impressive view for us (just the brewery:),but lots of space and comfy bed with a tv that worked. The pool (indoor) was warm and quite nice with lots of space around to lounge. Sauna was great. Light in the steam room was broken so didn't get to experience that. My husband tried their famous beer bath and raved about how amazing he felt and how smooth his skin was for days after! (That is a bit pricey though, but it's a splurge on yourself). Two restaurants there - the steak one is expensive, but portion sizes are MASSIVE and quality is quite good. Great wine list and the biggest, fanciest gin and tonic I've ever had. Oh and a beautiful view of the hill town nearby - I think that was Buje,as well as of the sea. The pizzeria is located over in the camping section (which also has an outdoor pool, fitness studio and outdoor jacuzzi) and the pizza was not bad. Yes, not super cheap, but not a wallet breaker. Yes, there are ants around - we saw them near the pool and some in the bedroom, but it still was clean - just a warmer, more humid environment where it can be harder to keep them out. Nothing crazy.

Le buffet à petit déjeuner et à dîner est varié, frais, délicieux et bien préparé et supérieur à la moyenne pour un hôtel 3-star. Tout le jour, plusieurs activités sont organisées. L'environnement de l'hôtel est agréable, calme et extrêmement relaxant. Une belle promenade de la mer conduit à la ville de Novigrad Nous planifions certainement de revenir à ce lieu.
