Je suis venu à Qingdao pour la première fois avec mes amis. Nous recherchions depuis longtemps. Je voulais découvrir les B&B spéciaux de Qingdao. J'ai choisi le Jiaobao Inn. Il a conservé les caractéristiques de l'ancien bâtiment. dispose également d'installations modernes. La dame de la réception m'a recommandé des lieux d'enregistrement à proximité et a pris beaucoup de photos. Je suis arrivé précipitamment cette fois et je n'ai pas fini mes achats. Je reviendrai la prochaine fois quand j'aurai le temps et regarderai de plus près les environs.

located just 100m from airport bus station, huge libby, decent size room, very comfortable down pillows and duvets, i will ask for 1 more pillow next time, as they were slightly low. I also i will bring my own light proof curtain , size 180cm x120cm, so that i don't wake up with the sun going up on 5.30 am. Breakfast was delicious but poor me i stayed in bed till 8.45, that was late already. Very calm environment despite proximity to bus and train station.

L'hôtel propose un service de transport aller-retour pour vous et vos bagages, vous évitant ainsi de vous déplacer à pied. Le personnel de l'hôtel est exceptionnellement accueillant et sympathique. Il vous accueille chaleureusement et répond à toutes vos demandes et questions. Il est également très souriant. Nous avons même reçu quelques souvenirs à la fin de votre séjour, ce qui était très gentil de leur part, et le petit-déjeuner était offert tous les jours. Le petit-déjeuner était également bon, avec un choix copieux et chaleureux. Certains plats changent selon les jours. IInvitéI found what looked like an engorged tick or bedbug crawling up my bed. The hotel is pretty and I booked it for 1 night as a luxury treat so I could get a good rest for my layover stop to another destination. My room smelt like stale smoke unfortunately, though I had asked for non-smoking. I paid extra on my booking for breakfast and had to wake up at 6am, eat breakfast at 6.30am and go to the airport at 7.20am. My room had a bathtub so I took a bath before bedtime and went to bed at midnight, I got up to go switch the lamp off at 1am and found this bug crawling up the side of my bed going towards me. I think it's either a tick or a bed bug, the body was full of blood. It had 6 or 8 legs, difficult to see but I took a video which doesn't allow me to upload. I don't have any problems with normal bugs such as spiders, but if it is a tick or bedbug it is a big problem. I was really worried there were more hiding inside the bed, I called reception for help and they looked at the bug which I caught in a glass cup. They apologised deeply and changed my room, so I had to move at 1.30am. I explained I was already tired and have to wake up early. In the new room I was unable to sleep as I kept worrying about bed bugs. I got up multiple times to check my bed. And there was a noisy couple next door talking loudly until very late so I couldn't sleep. For a luxury hotel you should not need to loose a whole night's sleep because you are worried about bedbugs or ticks biting you. Nor should be able to hear noise from other guests through the wall. I was extremely exhausted the next day and did not have any appetite. I asked if they could refund the extra I paid for breakfast because I couldn't eat it, but they said it wasn't possible. So I forced myself to try eat 1 egg and some small rice porridge but couldn't finish it. Really expensive to pay for breakfast and hardly eat, it's a shame they couldn't refund the breakfast considering I had no sleep. For a 5* hotel, I would like to have good rest and peaceful sleep. But it was not like that. The staff were very kind and helpful, but it's not so easy to travel here alone. It was not easy to book a taxi for the following morning to the airport and it took 40 minutes of assistance, the man was very kind and helpful, but the hotel should make an easier system for foreign guests to book taxi. When I first arrived in Jinan airport, I had no idea how to get to the hotel. There is no ATM inside the hotel so you cannot withdraw cash, and you cannot pay with foreign card to book a taxi. The shangri-la website did not provide any details for public transport. It simply said bus transfer was available but did not say which number bus. I would give the details here but I have forgotten the route name and bus number now as it was hectic and I was very tired, sorry. I had to waste a lot of time trying to ask for help at the airport as the staff did not speak English. Luckily someone helped me. The bus will cost 20yuan and take you into the centre where you will see the intercontinental hotel and a large shopping mall on the left side of the bus, get off at that stop, it takes 1 hour. From there it's only 5 minutes walk to shangri-la. For a big hotel they should provide easy instructions on the website to guests. The staff apologised deeply for the bug on the bed, and offered 10% reduction of the room rate. Although when I checked out no refund was given and they didn't mention anything about it, I think they just charged full price. Personally I think 10% is not enough anyway. Nobody wants to change rooms at 1.30am because of bugs crawling on the bed. I didn't get any sleep at all and felt itchy because I kept thinking about bugs and couldn't eat the breakfast. I was absolutely exhausted the following day so I was unable to do anything at my next destination and had to waste 1 day more to rest. Unfortunately not an easy experience at the shangri-la.

From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the spotless cleanliness throughout the entire property. The lobby was bright and inviting, the hallways were pristine, and our room was immaculate. It’s clear that the housekeeping team takes great pride in their work, and it made our stay feel both safe and luxurious. The staff deserves a special mention. Every team member we encountered, from the front desk to the dining area, was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful. They greeted us with genuine smiles, were always ready with a local recommendation, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Their positive attitude really set the tone for our entire trip. Now, let’s talk about the breakfast – it was excellent! IInvitéDefinitely not a 5 star hotel they claim to be on Trip.com. The first room we were checked-in had a broken window that couldn’t be opened and the reception didn’t know about it, although the window was closed with a tape and they should have known that this room had a problem. There were not many guests in the hotel and plenty of rooms to be offered. In the next room we found out that the show was out of hot water. The problem was with the central supply system and instead of repairing it themselves, the hotel engineer was coming to our room claiming that we should discharge water for 5-10 minutes before hot water starts coming out. This kept going for almost an hour, we were tired and wanted to sleep because it was late evening. The problem didn’t require our assistance because the problem was with the whole hot water supply system, not with our exact room. Also, they brought us a small heater to the room which I was surprised about, but then I understood that it was because the air-conditioner which had a heater mode, didn’t work well. I doubt that the hotel would have enough heaters for all rooms in case they had more guests. Without the heater it was quite cold in the room. Next morning the house keeper came at 9-30 am!!!Which is insane. We were sleeping. I’ve never encountered a hotel at which the house keeper came that early and disturbed the guests. Finally when leaving the hotel, we wanted to take those one-time use sleepers with us to use during the flight and found out to our surprise, that for 4 days we were living in the hotel sleepers were not changed even once. I called the reception, it was early morning (like 6-30 am) and they told me that the house keeper will bring us the sleepers when she comes to work. I told that we were leaving already and the reception promised to bring the sleepers asap. 10 minutes later nobody came and we went to check-out. At the check-out I asked for the sleepers again and told the receptionist that the taxi has almost arrived, so that she could bring us the sleepers first and then proceed with the check-out. She didn’t listen to me, still first processed the check-out and only after it went for the sleepers. So it basically took me half an hour and my nerves to get the sleepers that were supposed to be in my room from the very beginning. The general manager talked to us after the case with the hot water and the house keeper coming early in the morning. He was very polite, but this doesn’t eliminate the fact that basic services in this hotel leave much to be desired. On the plus side, very comfortable beds and clean spacious room.

IInvitéThe best place for a calm vacation on a beach for a affordable price. This was a nice little hotel standing right in front of a beach. The placement can be seen as perfect as this large beach is wonderful itself and much better then the beaches at the city center. The only inconvenience to consider when choosing this or nearby hotels is lack of cafes and restorans nearby, so you'd better take breakfasts in the hotel, they were not bad, tasty and very filing, with serveral options to choose from. For other places to eat, except for a two nearby costly restorans, you'll have to wark to find one about 1-1,5 km or more. If you want to spend more time in the city center consider also the time to travel to it, about 1,5 hours on a bus, 30-50 minutes on taxi. The service was decent, even though stuff does not speak english they were very welcome and supportive, helping me and calling taxi a couple of times when I needed it. The hotel itself is clean. The room was cleaned daily, not perfectly as the floors in the room stayed a bit dusty all the time but that was not too much of an issue. The bedding was always clean, towels were clean as well and changed daily. I have to say a few words about the beach and the see themselves. The beach is large and clean, there are trash bins which are cleaned daily. It have a sand of very good quality, indeed of a golden color. The beach longs for several kilometers and is from about 150 meters wide to 200+ meters wide depending on the tides. The beach is shallow but no too much, you can easily walk to a place where you can swim freely. It was August and the water was extremely warm and cozy. It was clean with little human made trash coming from the see, but due to temperature the water near the shore start blooming on a second or third day of my stay there. I had to walk 10-15 meters in a 50-80 centimeters deep water full of seaweed before I come to clear waters. I bit unpleasant but not a big deal. There were some jelly fish coming the shore, the see doesn't have dangerous ones though. The beach has some infrastructure, at least there is a place to wash your hands and legs and there are public toilets nearby the beach, but there are no safeguards on it. With an chinese specifics I would say that's a plus as they are too restrictive and protective here.

FFrom a SingaporeanThe positive attitude and service performance of the staff ranging from front desk, concierge/security to breakfast restaurant and house keeping is excellent. The classic hotel personal service with a modern twist makes the stay a memorable experience. On my check-in, Ms Xiao Jiao and Ms Xiao Cong gave me and explained briefly the leaflet on the hotel’s suggested tourist attractions in Yantai. They also enthusiastically exchanged small RMB notes with me. They also gave me a piece of mooncake of my choice (and during my check-out too). The restaurant staff is attentive, replenishing food and drinks and attending to requests promptly. Due to my lack of command of Mandarin and accent, the chef cooked the wanton instead of the mackerel dumplings for me, he immediately served me the dumplings when he realised the miscommunication. The next morning, after serving me the mackerel dumplings, he, I think, recognised me, suggested I could add soup and condiments to the dumplings. I find their fleshly cooked dumplings are even better than the dumplings from the most famous dumplings restaurant in Yantai. The concierge staff on 2 days helped me book taxi using her phone app, paying in advance on my behalf as booking via internet cannot be settled in cash. The concierge/front desk lent me umbrella without question. After a delayed and tiring flight, Mr Xiao Gao brought me to my room and explained the mechanics of the switches in the room. There was a hand-written welcome note from Ms Liu, with 2 cups of white fungus/goji drink beside it. The drink together with the note and fruits in the room, not only soothed my dry throat but also lifted the mood. House keeping provided fruits, white fungus/goji drink and dried chrysanthemum/rose flowers (to prepare for drinking) and 4 bottles (500 ml) of water daily, with up to 14 bottles at the lift lobby on my floor, and guests can also request house keeping for more bottles. On my check out day, during my breakfast, they left at the door handle, a bag of goodies, fruits and bottles of water and souvenirs (4 key chains with various types of sea shells), together with a hand-written farewell/bon voyage note from Ms Liu. Well done The Center Hotel staff, you are a pride to the hotel, the hospitality industry and Yantai!

GGeoffrey IvanI have been to 30+ countries in China and stayed at dozens of hotels. I can confidently say that this was one of the best stays I have ever had. Not because the hotel was amazing but because of the staff. I ended up switching to this hotel after I spent the first night in another hotel because of my terrible experience. The front desk staff was incredibly patient with me and very kind despite me not speaking Chinese. They showed me multiple rooms and they even held my bag while I went to check out the competition across the street. I immediately checked into this hotel once I saw what else was out there. The manager was incredibly nice and gave me a free upgrade to a single queen bed with a window at no extra charge. The room was incredibly clean, spacious and functional, especially for the price. I can not tell you how many times the staff assisted me during my trip, from helping me with my laundry, to pointing out night market directions, to making phone calls for me to reserve massages. Some of the best service I have ever experienced in a hotel in China. The hotel itself is nothing amazing but it is the best location that you're going to find in Qingdao. It has a very awkward entrance as the frontage is occupied by a coffee shop and a milk tea shop but if you can put both of those things aside, you'll have an incredible stay here. The signage and labelling of the A and B towers leaves a lot to be desired and became confusing at times so I just memorized my route to the guest elevator and back. Is it a perfect hotel? No but the staff more then makes up for it's short comings. The Wifi didn't work for my night time work so the manager was nice enough to let me use her office as basically my private office with her own personal Wifi. I was incredibly grateful for that as she really didn't need to do that. I would highly recommend anyone in Qingdao to stay here. The rates are comparable to all of it's neighbors but it has a superior location and staff. I will 100% be staying here again when I come back to Qingdao. Apologies to the staff for my review taking so long but better late than never I guess. For the record, I ended up almost staying a week at this hotel and I really didn't want to leave Qingdao at the end of my trip.
