The room was fine, though it was dusty and there were old toothpaste stains in the bathroom. However, that is nothing compared to the major safety and privacy violation we experienced. The service and management were completely unacceptable. Our room's mini fridge was broken. We called maintenance, but after waiting for 30 minutes, no one showed up. Since we had a strict dinner reservation, we had to leave, keeping our 'Do Not Disturb' (DND) sign clearly displayed on the door.Later, the staff called us saying they were at our room. I explicitly asked them to wait 3 minutes for us to return. Instead, they entered our room without permission while the DND sign was up and changed the fridge. This is a severe breach of privacy and security. If anything goes missing from our room, who is going to take responsibility? Very unprofessional and untrustworthy.

J'ai apprécié l'emplacement de l'hôtel, à l'écart de l'agitation du centre-ville. C'était paisible et il y avait moins de circulation. La chambre était superbe, avec des équipements comme un lave-linge/sèche-linge, un micro-ondes et même une plaque à induction. La vue depuis la chambre de luxe avec vue sur la mer était magnifique. Le personnel a été très arrangeant concernant ma demande d'arrivée anticipée et de départ tardif. Le quai et la promenade du port de plaisance étaient accessibles directement depuis le niveau B2 de l'hôtel. Le Hard Rock Cafe, entre autres, mérite d'être mentionné. Le seul point négatif était le petit-déjeuner. Il pourrait être nettement amélioré. Il y a certainement une marge de progression. Sinon, mon séjour a été excellent (9/10). Je reviendrai sans hésiter avec ma famille.

The location is very convenient, but the facilities really need more careful maintenance. The TV doesn't work, the sink light is broken, the toothbrush bristles are falling out, there are no disposable slippers, so you have to go barefoot. The receptionist didn't even bother to say ”Good morning” during check-out.

Chance to experience first class suites on airplane with full king size bed without paying a premium. This is the place where you should go with family! Small hotel with 2x Boeing 747 cargo planes converted into suites. Each plane comes with 10 rooms and hotel building block has another 20+ rooms. With less than 50 rooms, you won’t experience over crowding like other hotels with 100+ rooms. Other words quiet and more privacy. Which gives you the premium feel. Not to mention the high end finishing in common areas and in room. 5 star quality hotel in a secluded area which you rarely can find. Other than the airplanes main attraction, the children water park playground pool was a blast for the children. They also have 4 different swimming pools located at ground floor and 3rd floor. Children pool, beach pool with real sea white sand, adult pool, and jacuzzi pool. Food option was very limited. 1 Japanese restaurant in hotel and 1 Chinese restaurant outside of hotel, walking distance a stone throw away. Each room comes with 2 pax complimentary Japanese Ala carte breakfast. Airplane suite rooms design is too low the ceiling to floor height. At 178 cms I need to bend my head 70% of the time. Knocked my head a dozen times due to low height ceiling. Unsuitable for 175 cms and above height. Is like walking in hobbiton house or some tight cramped cave. Take note for slightly above average height people. Definitely not for foreigners. Phone in room wasn’t working. Could call front desk and house keeping. Had to manually walk out to front desk to ask for assistance. 90% of hotel staff cannot speak English. Security guard, cleaners, and pool towel boy. You’ll definitely have a tough time if you cannot communicate in Bahasa Malaysia. Only front desk staffs could speak English. Maybe their market cater for local Malaysians who speaks Bahasa only. Very poor directions. No signage at all for hotel and lobby. No hotel staff at lobby most of the time. They have 2 wings of lobby. A little confusing. All the Grab drivers got lost as it’s a new area. Use Chao Shan Lou restaurant as pick up and destination in Grab app. Check in was at 1st floor. You need to ask around and pray someone is at lobby to inform you. Don’t feel very welcome from first impression. Management ought to do something about this. Had bad experience with hotel cleaner at toilet in lobby area. Wet floor from washing toilets, the water flow out to common area outside of toilet. Both my wife and I slipped and almost fell. Very slippery fall hazard. Cleaner didn’t place wet floor signage at all when floors were still wet. On black marble tiles you cannot see the water. Management should look into their cleaning policies. This could have been very bad if it was an elderly who fell. Safety of guest must be the utmost priority. Plenty of parking around as all the shop houses within vicinity are still empty vacant.

Très beau resort situé face à la mer, avec peu de monde pendant mon séjour, ce qui rendait l’endroit très agréable et reposant. La chambre était spacieuse, propre et bien entretenue, avec une belle vue sur la mer et la piscine. Le balcon était un vrai plus pour profiter du lever de soleil le matin. Le personnel est agréable et serviable. Il est également possible de se faire livrer facilement de la nourriture sur place via Grab ou d’autres services de livraison. Le resort dispose d’un restaurant sur place, d’un bistrot et il y a un autre restaurant juste à côté. Des serviettes de piscine sont disponibles sur présentation d’un coupon. Le cadre est très agréable avec des écureuils qui se baladent dans le parc, ce qui ajoute un côté nature au lieu. Pour les activités, il est possible de pratiquer différents sports nautiques et activités autour du resort : jet-ski, quad, et même balades à cheval. Le seul point d’attention concerne les cocotiers : des panneaux indiquent le risque de chute de noix de coco et certaines zones sous les arbres sont délimitées pour éviter de rester directement en dessous. Ce n’est pas vraiment un problème, mais il faut simplement être vigilant. Le ménage a été effectué après la 2e nuit, avec notamment le changement des serviettes et vidage des poubelles, ce qui était correct.

Overall, location is good. - Free parking and open carpark for you to choose - Beach is just behind - Two swimming pool, one playground style and normal swimming pool - Few restaurants to choose from (Korean, Seafood, Malay cuisine, Fast food) - Mini golf course for kids to experience golf - Retail shop for almost everything you need for travel and swimming - Birds like chicken, duck, goose, peacock are in the location for kids to view as well - One dry playground - One vending machine with almost all kinds of medicine you need Just issue with cleanliness for me, first night, I had lizard issue, can hear the sound of it. Housekeeping damn fast when I report the next day, they came to check but cannot locate it. Second is ants, but it disappeared after like 15mins. But I reported it after I check out since when I saw it, it was in the night already.

Nous avions de grandes attentes concernant l'Anantara Desaru, réputé comme l'un des meilleurs hôtels, mais malheureusement, le service n'a pas été à la hauteur. Certains membres du personnel étaient charmants, tandis que d'autres semblaient assez maussades. Néanmoins, le complexe est magnifique, mais il n'y a pas grand-chose à faire aux alentours, et même le club pour enfants était plutôt ennuyeux. Après quatre jours sur place… on peut dire sans se tromper que nous n'y retournerons probablement pas ! 🤣

Personnel d'accueil aimable et disponible, et une boisson fraîche à la citronnelle nous a été offerte dès notre arrivée. Merci de nous avoir permis d'arriver plus tôt, c'était très appréciable. Quelle délicate attention de nous avoir attribué une chambre avec vue sur la mer, la piscine et la nature ! 😁 Chambre propre et spacieuse, mais quelques « invités » indésirables ! 🦟😅 Lit très confortable et différents types d'oreillers pour un sommeil réparateur. Deux superbes piscines, l'une à débordement et l'autre sinueuse. Sans oublier le hammam et le jacuzzi pour une détente optimale. La salle de sport était également bien équipée avec différents appareils. Le Coral Lounge était très agréable avec ses jeux comme le billard, le carrom, le ping-pong et de nombreux autres jeux de société. Se promener sur la plage était merveilleux et le bruit des vagues impressionnant. Le petit-déjeuner était excellent : un large choix et des mets délicieux, notamment les croissants et le pain complet… Les plats des différents restaurants étaient également succulents. Le serveur nous a présenté avec enthousiasme leurs fruits de mer frais, comme le vivaneau, les crevettes et les calamars, accompagnés de la sauce spéciale préparée par le chef. C'était vraiment délicieux ! De plus, ils nous ont offert une réduction de 25 % sur l'addition (grâce à la promotion Visit Malaysia), ce qui était une excellente affaire. Oui, nous reviendrons sans hésiter ! 😁

We choose this hotel on a whim as we needed a place that was off the highway for our ride back to KL. I am glad we did. I only wish we had a chance to spend more time here. I think in the future we might make the trip down just to stay here. There are many great amenities here. A beautiful manicured golf course, restaurants, and a bowling alley. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The resort has a Balinese or Thai feel. The rooms are very spacious and have a bathtub. They are well maintained and offer beautiful views of the surrounding scenery.
