If your travelling and would like to be close to Laoag Airport, this hotel is a good choice. The room is spaciuos and bathroom has cold and hot water. Split type airconditioning and clean and comfy bed. For solo travellers like me. It is convenient as the hotel has food hubs just located outside. The staff is friendly and approachble. Highly recommended for couple or solo traveller who would want to explore Laoag

Great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city! Balai Balatong is located inside a barangay and has kubo/hut theme with a touch of modern elegance. The rooms are well designed and are really clean.
We were lucky to book the place for our own on that day as it is a weekday for a very inexpensive price. We got the pool and entire place literally for our own for a day which is great! It could be priced double or triple for its current state of the rooms.
As the place is relatively new, just opened last 2024, there is no in house reception available. Works like an airbnb. No in house-resto yet. These two might be the reasons why they are holding on to pricing the rooms higher. Would have given them a perfect rating if these are available. There is a good restaurant though just in front of the place called Pha Ramen which is an aesthetically good restaurant serving good Pinoy dishes (and accepts credit cards).
Staffs are friendly and accommodating. We had an early flight the next day and they were able to arrange for our transfer to the airport.
We will surely come back!

Great location! Malapit sa terminal ng bus! Malapit sa lahat, May wifi pero mabagal pero okay lang, mura lang siya and maayos yung hotel. Highly recommended!

Le centre de la ville est très confortable, le centre de la ville est très confortable et le centre de la ville est très confortable. Il était propre, élégant, confortable avec un excellent service. Le service était attentif et efficace. La chambre elle-même était bien équipée et confortable. J'étais très heureux de mon séjour. J'espère être de retour pour une visite plus longue à l'avenir.

IInvitéGood -Met owners of BnB, Ice cream, bar and dining available on site (Italian / local food), good breakfast included. Air-conditioned room, phone and satellite tv (requires load by site). On site generator to support power blackouts. Nice garden like feel, gated and fenced. On site parking (minimal). Christmas lights set up for the season. New three-story expansion currently being built (but no impact to stay). Stocked in room mini bar. Shower water flow good. Nice on site pool (3-4 ft deep). Nice ocean views, Koi pond and sitting areas. Dogs and cats (3 ea) live on site.
Bad -Food order ~3 hr in advance, prices are a bit higher than normal, breakfast night before. Some items on menu not available. Room is very small mostly bed and small area to walk around. Bathroom local size challenge for larger people (toilet to wall space). Plumbing not support flushing of TP, place in holding bin. Shower heater wall switch should be labeled. Switch is in same stack of switches as bath lights. Refrigerator and mini bar stocked. (bug spray recommended for foreigners as mosquitoes can get in the room). Located on main roadway. A short drive to other things in the area. No beach (small gravel area), surf can be strong at back of property. Kayaks appeared usable but life jackets were questionable (suggest replacing) unless experienced seemed more like yard art. Amenity kit provided (bar soap was crumbled and could not be used, shampoo was barely enough for one shower (suggest abandon and provide home made or none at all).
Ugly -Local purified drinking water provided in plastic pitcher (not enough for two people per/day and no way to know where from), can ask for more but not convenient. Spouse incurred sickness from bad (other) water during stay.

IInvitéIt was a nice stay. Location is fabulous, basically everything in walking distance. The room was clean, but you will only have a thin sheet to cover yourself. The weather is hot and you only need to adjust the AC temperature to your liking, so it works. Maybe they can provide more for you to cover, but I am very used to backpacking so I have things with me and didn’t bother to ask. There was only lukewarm water in my room. No hot shower but again, it’s hot and that works. Towels and all, you will have to prepare yourself. You get what you pay for with this price. If you use to backpack and want to save money, this place is great. But if you expect for a normal hotel service, then you should choose another place.
As others say, this place is mainly run by persons with disabilities, which I personally think it’s a great thing and they earn with their livelihood! They speak good English and very very accommodating! They helped me to make phone calls to enquire the bus schedule, and let me check in right away when i reached there at 5am by an overnight bus. My booking started from that night and i was thinking to leave my suitcase there first and came back in the afternoon. But they gave me the room right away, so I could also sleep a few hours before starting my day. Truly appreciated and highly recommend to experienced backpackers.

UUtilisateur anonymeLes draps sont propres mais pas le lit une fois que vous y jetez un coup d'œil, il est sale. Mon partenaire ne se sentait pas en sécurité avec la fenêtre qui ressemble à un couloir arrière ouvert où les gens peuvent passer facilement et entrer par notre chambre car la fenêtre n'était pas teintée. Les gens peuvent facilement entrer par effraction. Nous avons simplement gardé le rideau fermé, de peur de ce qui pourrait arriver. La réception n'était pas ouverte 24h/24 et 7j/7. Le gardien dort aussi. J'ai lu que c'était bien pour les draps tachés à gauche mais qu'ils étaient déjà sales. Nous avons réservé en ligne pour plus de commodité, mais à notre arrivée, le personnel nous a simplement fait attendre et ne semblait pas au courant des réservations en ligne. Nous avons donc dû fournir plus de preuves et ils déduisent des heures pour les réservations en ligne.

UUnderthestarsIt was a pleasant stay. The place is nice, instagrammable. It’s actually pretty. Overlooking the ocean. I just have some issues though. We stayed at the ground suite 1. The water in the toilet bowl is slow to replenish. No hot water in the shower. And no restaurant around so we need to order in their sister resort with a 250 charge. A little far also to the main beach. So we were outside most of the time.
The place is good for a group and better if you bring your own food.

Cleanliness, luma kaya ano pa ine expect mo. Pwede na rin pagtisan. Not advisable sa mga mars.
Wala silang elevateur. Kaya di advisable ang maraming dala.
Not stricto sa mga bisita basta magpaalam tulad namin na dumayo para mag body piercing.
Mahina ang aircon, malilite kasi. Di bagay sa size ng room. Pero malamig naman ang La Union kaya keri na rin.

BBrandon HolleyAbsolutely wonderful. Jenny and Adrian took great care of us. 100 islands is great too (bring pesos!) The resort pool is huge. Food was masarap and service was even better. Maybe my favorite resort ever. Road in is bumpy for a km or so but we'll worth the destination.

IInvitéThe room is good, smell nice and spacious.the bed is comfy.no view but you can book rooms with window view. The shower and bathroom is spacious. But you need to wash your bum with dipper because the bidet spray is connected to the shower but all in its nice to stay here in travelite express la union.😁 the staffs are friendy.When your using the elevator going up the staff need beep a card to use the elevator but going down no need. 🫠

JJenny MaeThe place is good. Malapit sa Jollibee at Shakey's kaya d mahirap humanap ng makakainan. Yung hagdan lang, masyadong mataas. I've got 4th floor room kaya mejo mahirap kasi maghahagdan ka akyat baba, buti nalang mabait si kuya tinulungan kami mag akyat ng mga gamit. Yun lang kapagod talaga mag hagdan papunta 4th floor lalo na at malapit na mag senior kasama namin. Though, mabait mga staff. Thank you.
