I had a late flight arriving and this place does not offer late-check in despite it saying they do on the booking. So when I messaged to see if I can get a cancellation, they refused to offer a refund even though it was well in advance of my arrival date (2 weeks prior). No other hostel refuses a refund this far in advance. I ended up sleeping at the airport even though I paid for that night and checked in the next day. I asked what time can I check in earliest since I already paid for the night before and the owner said at 10am. I arrive at that time and he was not there and I had to wait 45 minutes for him. When finally checked in, he gives me a bed and I take a nap since I barely got any sleep at the airport the night before. I found out shortly that I was sleeping on somebody else's bed! The staff here are so unorganized and not knowing who has which bed. Another guest in the same room told me he had the same experience when he first arrived and was given a bed that was already taken. The locker system requires a deposit, and the locker numbers don't match up with the bed numbers because they don't keep track of who is in which bed! The staff don't speak english and give the impression they are illegally working as foreigners. Another guest recommended me to take my valuables with me during the day as the staff are a bit sus here and that there was an incident (before I arrived) where a guest got his belongings stolen. The showers are disgusting and "cleaned" daily but the staff are just wiping it with a wet rag and that is it. The rooms itself are in a basement with no direct sunlight. I got various bed bugs throughout my stay and because it was in the basement, there was no proper ventilation and you are just breathing in the mold. Overall this was the worst hostel experience I have ever been in. Spend the few extra dollars and book elsewhere. This was not worth the shitshow
