Wonderful hotel with every need catered for. Staff were delightful - special thanks to Judy, Magda and the team at breakfast, all the staff in the restaurants, everyone in the golf reception and the starters, Caty of evening turndown service and the customer service team. Excellent food - we travelled on half board and found the inclusive options in the restaurants offered good choice, great value with generous portions. Gluten free options for coeliac disease were well catered for including gluten free lager, bread, pancakes, cakes, pasta, pizza and staff at Melvin made the effort to order gluten free lager when not initially available. Beach was well worth a visit - deckchairs, fitted towels and beach towels, suntan creams and iced water provided here as well as the hotel pools. No deckchair reservations meant always somewhere to sit and very attentive staff. This was a golfing holiday - the course was challenging and very enjoyable with each hole very different with amazing views of the ocean and mountains. It is in excellent condition with friendly staff. Highly recommended venue - we travelled in May and the hotel felt quiet.

I stayed almost 3 weeks at Pensión Alcalá. I liked the cleanliness and tranquility of the rooms. There is a small fridge which is very handy. It's very clean and very quiet, the beds are comfortable. The ocean is only a few hundred meters away and in 10 min. by foot you arrive at the very pretty beaches of La Jaquita and the natural swimming pools. There are bars and restaurants close by as well as a shopping street and two supermarkets within a few minutes walk. Parking is very easy, there are plenty of free parking spaces.

Belle propriété perdue au milieu de nulle part. Sans voiture, vous ne pouvez rien faire. Personnel globalement agréable mais une chaîne hôtelière qui n’a RIEN COMPRIS à l’hôtellerie. JAMAIS je n’ai vu ce type de pratique ridicule. En décembre, au moment des fêtes, les tarifs sont exorbitants pour les Canaries mais lorsque vous réservez dans un 5 étoiles, vous imaginez obtenir le service qui devrait y être associé. Meliá propose 2 types de service dans son hôtel avec notamment un service plus facturé en supplément à plus de 120€/jour : Red level. Si vous n’ajoutez pas cette somme à plus de 600€/j pour chambre et petit déjeuner, vous vous voyez restreindre l’accès à des espaces réservés (certaines zones autour des piscines ou bien même piscines privatisées). Surtout, pas de service du soir pour préparer la chambre et pas de bouteille(s) d’eau de courtoisie comme cela se pratique habituellement. Il y a pire, une machine à café Nespresso présente dans les chambres avec des capsules qui ne sont pas du Nespresso mais qui sont facturées 1,5€ par utilisation. Le lait est aussi facturé, les sachets de thé : idem. Vous apprenez cela en détaillant la carte du minibar et forcément, rien ne peut vous alerter avant cette découverte ! On vous colle un bracelet de différentes couleurs en fonction de votre forfait : B&B, 1/2 pension ou all inclusive et en fonction de votre statut : sous-client ou Red level, comme on marque le bétail. Installations dans les chambres vieillissantes avec une prise de douche qui aboutit systématiquement à la création de flaques d’eau dans la salle de bain. Bref, je ne recommande pas un seul instant cet établissement. J’avais oublié le parking facturé ici, contrairement à la pratique d’autres hôtels, et dont les odeurs peuvent alerter sur d’éventuels problèmes de stockage de poubelles. Dommage qu’une jolie propriété ne soit pas valorisée et exploitée par de vrais professionnels de l’hôtellerie. Du reste, les piscines sont peu chauffées et la principale grande piscine à l’eau de mer ne l’est pas du tout.
