Mais cet hôtel a vraiment dépassé mes attentes. Il est situé dans une rue piétonne adjacente à la vieille ville, dans un coin relativement tranquille, mais juste en face de la zone commerciale. C'est un endroit calme au cœur de l'agitation. Si vous venez en taxi, contactez l'hôtel à l'avance pour connaître le point de dépose ; l'entrée de l'hôtel est à seulement 50 mètres à pied. Le service de chambre est vraiment exceptionnel, on sent que la gestion est très attentionnée. Le personnel est très professionnel, toujours prêt à répondre à nos besoins et à anticiper nos attentes. La décoration des chambres est également très élégante, et des protections antichoc sont même installées sur les bords des lits, preuve qu'ils prennent en compte les commentaires des clients. Le rapport qualité-prix est excellent pour ce tarif. Le seul petit bémol est que la lumière de l'entrée est à détecteur de mouvement et s'allume au moindre bruit ou mouvement brusque, ce qui n'est pas très pratique. L'insonorisation est moyenne ; on entendait clairement les conversations téléphoniques des voisins. Le service général est très bon, et ils ont été très coopératifs quand j'ai demandé à ce qu'un coursier vienne chercher des affaires que j'avais oubliées. »

Les petits détails mignons et attentionnés comme le panneau ”加薪水” (augmenter les salaires) dans les espaces communs, et les fleurs fraîches et plantes vertes partout, remplissent l'espace de vitalité et de chaleur.
Dans cette ville trépidante, trouver un refuge aussi calme et central est vraiment rare. Que ce soit pour voyager seul et se détendre, ou pour se retrouver entre amis, c'est un excellent choix. La prochaine fois que je viendrai, je séjournerai à nouveau ici, pour continuer à embrasser cette douceur sans hâte. »

A travers la vitre de fermeture, on voit l'intérieur, donc peu d'intimité. Le petit-déjeuner est médiocre avec des produits industriels sans saveur. « J'avais séjourné ici il y a trois ans, et j'ai choisi cet endroit à nouveau spécialement pour ma correspondance à Kunming. L'emplacement est excellent, proche du lac Cuihu, et l'aménagement est chaleureux et confortable. La table de billard du restaurant a particulièrement marqué mon enfant pendant trois ans, et il a pu en profiter à nouveau cette fois-ci. Le petit-déjeuner offre un excellent rapport qualité-prix ; un brunch similaire coûterait au moins trois fois plus cher à Guangzhou. Pour le Nouvel An, l'auberge nous a même offert deux jolies tasses à café. Je reviendrai la prochaine fois ! »

Les oreillers étaient excellents – un en duvet et un en latex. J'ai particulièrement apprécié la salle de bain : spacieuse et magnifique ! Le petit-déjeuner était délicieux, le service impeccable et l'emplacement idéal, à proximité de nombreux excellents restaurants. J'y retournerai sans hésiter !

RRic MThe hotel is located nearby the airport, which is convenient for a night before your flight next day. The room was comfortable enough for the price per night, but it was not well-cleaned. There were dirty spots in the sofa and the walls, and lots of hair remaining from previous guests (see photos). The breakfast was small in variety but decent in flavour. The worst was the transportation to the airport: the drivers instead of putting the luggage in trunk, they put in in the hallway of the bus between the passengers. I was shocked at how unsafe that was. The transportation services should learn about safety, and the cleaners must do a better job cleaning.

Je suis descendu au deuxième étage et je suis venu me chercher. C'était une bonne critique. De plus, le petit-déjeuner est juste à côté du contrôle de sécurité. très pratique. UUtilisateur anonymeL'hôtel est assez récent, mais il paraît très petit et son agencement n'est pas très pratique. À notre arrivée dans la chambre, nous avons constaté que les prises électriques étaient hors service ; le personnel de maintenance a cependant réglé le problème rapidement. Le plus désagréable était l'odeur de fumée dans la chambre ! Nous avions expressément demandé une chambre non-fumeur car nous voyagions avec un enfant. Sachant que quelqu'un fumait dans la chambre, ils auraient facilement pu nous en changer. Le plus frustrant, c'est que nous avions réservé deux chambres et, lorsque nous avons remarqué l'odeur de fumée dans l'une d'elles, nous avons immédiatement contacté le personnel pour qu'une barrière anti-fumée soit installée dans l'autre. Cependant, après une longue attente, la barrière était toujours installée dans la chambre enfumée ! Le seul service que j'ai reçu dans cet hôtel a été d'appeler le concierge pour qu'il transporte nos bagages au parking. À notre arrivée avec beaucoup de bagages, personne ne nous a aidés. À la réception, personne ne s'est occupé de l'enregistrement ; j'ai dû demander moi-même. Même lorsque j'ai demandé, on m'a dit d'aller dans une autre chambre car ils étaient occupés. Même à Atour, où nous voyagions avec un enfant, nous avions toujours été accueillis chaleureusement. Ici, personne ne nous a prêté attention ; ma première impression a été désastreuse ! Le choix au petit-déjeuner était limité et le goût vraiment médiocre. On entendait clairement l'eau couler de la douche à l'étage depuis la chambre. Personnellement, je ne choisirai plus jamais cet hôtel. Toute ma famille s'y est sentie très mal à l'aise ; il ne vaut vraiment pas son prix ni son nom !

Reception Chaos and The Window Saga
Check-in was rushed and incomplete—no luggage assistance, no WeChat information, no translation tools. The real problems began when I reported my window wouldn't close. With one receptionist managing everything, guests competed for attention in survival-of-the-rudest fashion. She'd abandon helping me whenever someone else interrupted, forcing me to wait while she handled whoever was most insistent.
Hours of frustration followed. The maintenance worker actually said it ”wasn't really a problem” since ”most windows are like that in the hotel”—an alarming admission. After being dismissed and deprioritized repeatedly, I finally got another room. This one had a working window but noisy neighbors and poor soundproofing that broadcast every car horn.
They sent an apology fruit platter—genuinely the best I've received in China, beautifully arranged. But fruit platters require far less investment than proper staff training, adequate staffing, or basic maintenance.
The Bright Spots: Room and Breakfast
The stylish room with warm atmosphere and spacious layout was genuinely nice, though the window view wasn't appealing. The bed was acceptable.
The breakfast team was easily the best part of this hotel—truly professional unlike virtually everyone else. Day one featured fantastic food, skilled preparation, and competent service that stood in stark contrast to other departments. Even when choices declined on days two and three (less refilling, fewer Western options), the cooking team remained the most professional staff I encountered. They also shut down before 1:30 PM despite posted hours.
Housekeeping Failures
During housekeeping, I left my robe and towels out to be changed—they were clearly used and wet, obviously needing replacement. They didn't change them—they folded them and left them. I had to ask them to replace items like shower gel, basically had to tell them everything. They also moved my pile of dirty clothes for some reason and mixed it with clean clothes, putting everything on a chair. Maybe these staff should respect personal space and belongings? One housekeeping staff member in the morning delivered mineral water but was impatient and unfriendly.
Infrastructure Issues
This aging property needs renovation. The hotel is pretty old—windows not closing, minor things not working or getting detached from walls. Water temperature in the shower fluctuated wildly, giving you burning water on your face when you don't expect it. Shower pressure from the handle was pretty good, but not sure what the top running shower is for—low pressure, useless. Elevators were very slow. I ordered coffee—it was delivered to reception but they didn't call or message me and didn't use the robot to deliver to my room. I went downstairs at some point and took it. No explanation, no apology.
Final Verdict
Two genuine strengths: stylish rooms and a professional breakfast team that understood hospitality. This only highlighted how dysfunctional everything else was. The chaotic reception, incompetent housekeeping, dangerous infrastructure, and absent service standards make this hard to recommend—despite nice rooms and excellent breakfast staff.
Would I return? No. Would I recommend? Only if everywhere else was fully booked.

1. Transport : Près de la gare de Kunming Sud. Kunming est une gare de transit incontournable pour le tourisme du Yunnan. Si vous ne prévoyez pas de vous enregistrer à Kunming le lendemain et que votre itinéraire pour le deuxième jour commence à partir de la gare de Kunming Sud, cet endroit est très bien situé. Il ne faut qu'une dizaine de minutes pour s'y rendre en voiture.
2. Service : Il y a un service de navette depuis et vers la gare de Kunming Sud. Le propriétaire a un bon sens du service. Il a non seulement envoyé un message à l'avance pour informer le client du lieu de prise en charge, mais il a également aidé avec enthousiasme avec les bagages et a fixé une heure pour la prise en charge du lendemain. C'est l'hôtel avec la meilleure attitude de service du Yunnan.
3. Équipements : Il y a un ascenseur, mais il n'est pas facile d'attendre, car il y a beaucoup d'hôtels privés dans tout le bâtiment, et chaque hôtel a beaucoup de clients. L'heure de départ le lendemain matin est relativement proche. Si vous avez de la chance, vous pouvez l'obtenir en un seul voyage, mais si vous n'avez pas de chance, vous aurez besoin de deux ou trois voyages. Cependant, notre hôtel semble être meilleur au 9e étage, et les étages inférieurs ne sont pas si bons ; il y a des boutiques de petit-déjeuner et des restaurants en bas, qui peuvent essentiellement répondre aux besoins du voyage ;
4. Installations et environnement sanitaire : Les chambres de l'hôtel sont vieilles et petites, avec des installations complètes mais vétustes. La famille n'a pas pris de douche mais s'est seulement lavée le visage et rincée la bouche. Il n'est pas recommandé de prendre une douche confortable et de se laver les cheveux.
5. Le rapport qualité-prix est relativement élevé, adapté aux amis ayant un budget limité ou de faibles exigences

PPsymondDespite the convenient location, comfortable beds, and all-important quiet sleep we managed to get, the hotel's communication to arrange our pick up from the train station at night and what turned out to be a self-check-in was just dismal, clearly needing more training to ensure better organisation for future guests. The following constructive advice is to help the hotel improve and for (particularly foreign) guests to note:
1. Ask for guests' phone number and inform the driver well in advance of our arrival, instead of waiting till the very last minute to do so. We reached out to the hotel via WeChat the day before and rightfully received detailed instructions (in Chinese) to find the driver (the pick up service is actually outsourced to a separate company using 3 different vans), but once we found the van, the driver angrily insisted we call the hotel to identify us by confirming our phone number - we were not allowed to board without the hotel's confirmation, which should have been done directly with the driver well in advance of our arrival.
2. This hotel is not manned after hours, let alone 24 hours, so please make it known well beforehand that we will have to check in ourselves if arriving after hours, and provide clear instructions on how to do so instead of communicating them through the phone while guiding us using the security cameras. It is not the guests' responsibility to do your administrative work (to report ourselves to the authorities by scanning the police QR code and filling out our details) at 11 o'clock at night when we have an early morning train to catch the following day. The hotel should allow guests to enter the room as soon as possible upon arrival, not have us wait half an hour while they struggle with what was clearly their first time checking in foreign guests - worse still over the phone - insisting that this be done before we could enter our room.
3. If the hotel truly wants the patronage of foreign guests, they will have to prioritise our convenience and comfort over theirs by actually having someone check us in in-person. Remotely doing so to save costs is as absurd as expecting foreign guests to communicate our details over the phone, sending photos of ourselves, our passport details etc. via WeChat, and then finding our room card and the room by talking to someone over the phone in Chinese. At the very least, these requirements and instructions should be clearly produced and communicated beforehand so that nothing is improvised.
We hope the above experience helps improve what is a decent hotel providing good value for money.
