We have been coming here for about 5 years and it has always been a decent experience until this last stay. The food at the River's Edge was terrible. We had breakfast one day, and ordered room service one night. The omelet my husband got tasted like it was made with powdered eggs. They were out of hash browns (how does that happen?) I don't even know where to start with the room service. You have to call the front desk to order room service, which makes no sense. We called to ask if you could get soup for room service and were told no, then when we called to order the woman asked my husband if he wanted soup or salad!!!! When he asked what kind of soup she said ”I don't know ”. Not let me find out for you, just I don't know, so he got a salad with blue cheese dressing. We get our food and his salad has no dressing! He calls and says he didn't get his blue cheese dressing, when the person shows up at our door she has a bowl of blue cheese crumbles, no dressing!! We just gave up at that point. His fettuccine had some kind of burned cheese chunk on it, at least that's what we think it was. My meatloaf was more like salisbury steak, and was covered in some dark brown substance that was supposed to be gravy (I think). I didn't think you could mess up on mashed potatoes but those were not good either. $20.99 and I only could choke down a couple bites. There were no good machines to play on and of the ones we did play on, we had issues with half of them. The first night we went to the bar I ordered a drink and a shot. I was told that I could not have a drink and a shot, even though I was paying for them because it's against the rules??!! I've never heard of such a thing in my life! Then later on my husband and I saw other bartenders selling drinks with shots! I guess it's all about who you know. The saving graces of this place and the reason for 3 stars? The Express Cafe' has amazing food and staff, we loved every meal we had there and the staff was always very helpful. Barry the bartender, he was so nice and made great drinks. The kitty cat robot server (Bella) in the restaurant. The room was decent and the bed was comfortable. Not sure what's changed, new management? Hopefully they are able to turn things around. Not sure if we will be back.

Nous sommes restés ici il y a des années. Nous sommes arrivés à travailler sur un loyer sur une base semi-urgence, notre première séjour à l'hôtel depuis COVID-19 est devenu un mot de famille. Lorsque je suis venue à l'inscription, nous avons eu une discussion sur la chambre, car mon mari préfère prendre des bars où il douche. Le clerc, qui a formé un nouveau employé, m'a suggéré d'abord de regarder la chambre. Je n'ai pas fait de bars à tenir. Le clerc a changé la chambre pour une chambre accessible qui nous travaillerait. La chambre était très bien gardée avec même assez de place pour une chaise à roues pour se rendre facilement. Le petit déjeuner était très bon pour les clients, mais ils ont donné des sacs de petit déjeuner pour aller avec une pâte et un burrito. Nous avons parlé à l'équipe de l'extérieur, ils avaient leurs masques sur le même plan que nous.

L'hôtel est bon, le type de chambre est un modèle de suite, un grand lit à l'intérieur, deux grands lits à l'extérieur, il y a une porte séparée à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur, très approprié pour un grand type de chambre à la maison, le salon est un seul.

Le motel 6 en Amérique vous permet de savoir exactement ce que vous allez obtenir et celui d'Eureka fournit certainement ce qui est sur l'étiquette. Les chambres sont exactement comme vous l'avez attendu et tout était propre et le lit était très confortable. Il y avait une salle de bains et une douche et l'eau était jolie et chaude. Il y avait beaucoup de serviettes propres. Le motel 6 est un hôtel 3 étoiles et cette position offre un service de 5 étoiles à l'intérieur de cette classe.

There aren't that many hotel options in the Eureka area and the Holiday Inn stands out as the best. A fairly new build, it's a very modern, comfortable hotel, offering everything you'd expect from the Holiday Inn brand, but it knows it's the best you can get and thus it charges way over the odds. The property sits in a very non descript part of the town, away from Old Town and nowhere near any of the beaches or places of interest. It's surrounded by, er, nothing. There's just one access point to the compound, to the right side of the property. You cannot enter from either the left or the front. There's ample parking available. Security is good and you need your key to enter the property. The lobby and communal areas are very modern, well designed and very comfortable. There's a small indoor pool and a work out room, both of which are well maintained. Rooms are pretty large, with very large bathrooms. Some of the rooms are suites. There's no sitting area in the basic rooms, but there is a desk and desk chair. Wifi is free and reliable, but not the top speed. Rooms come with a fridge, microwave, flat screen TV, iron and ironing board. There's good closet space. Heating works well and the beds are comfortable with clean, fresh linens. However, currently (February 2022) there is no maid service unless requested. Even when you put in a request, they don't service the room. So the trash isn't emptied and the beds never made. Bathrooms are very large and come with a shower/tub combo. The water pressure in the shower and basin are good. There are the usual HIE amenities in containers locked to the wall, but with no house keeping, when they run out, you have to request refills. Breakfast is included and is the standard HIE fare, but there is some minor variation from day to day, which is appreciated. One day, there was no fresh fruit, but this was unique. Most days there are bananas and oranges. Coffee and tea are available 24/7 in the lobby. The price is way over what this property is worth. I've stayed in many HIE properties in far more popular, dynamic locations and paid 1/3 to 1/2 less than this hotel is charging. Perhaps it's the pool. Regardless, although it's high standard and a good experience generally, I'm not sure it's worth the rate for what you get. As there are so few options in Eureka, the HIE knows they've got a captive audience and thus charges accordingly.
