Standout was the unique rooms which are extremely private, spacious and beautifully designed along the lagoon. Personally I didn’t quite understand the ‘Butler’ concept and found some of the comms style a bit frustrating. The other standout was the ‘Day of the dead’ celebrations. The property was decorated beautifully and very well organised. The opportunity to also participate was great as we felt emerged in the festivities. It would have been nice if the dinner package also included the face painting. More broadly the property is set within mayakoba so you can explore the grounds including the other hotels and it was fun to explore on the bikes. The only other thing to be aware off is also this is the more premium / exclusive hotel in mayakoba it’s still geared towards families or at least there where quite a few kids around. Finally don’t have high expectations of the beach it’s tiny and there isn’t much space. If you want high end luxury visit Maroma.

Great Stay at Riu Playacar We enjoyed our stay at this clean, well-organized resort with spacious, quiet rooms (ours had no balcony, but it was fine). The minibar was a nice touch, and the bathroom was spotless. Highlights: ✔ Food variety – Multiple à-la-carte restaurants (dinner reservations not needed) and buffets with good lunch/breakfast options. ✔beach – Plenty of sunbeds but no umberalla so bring your sunscreen, though pools get crowded les sunbeds. ✔ Access to sister hotels – Party lovers can visit Riu Tequila’s club nearby. ✔ Convenient location – Mini-market across the street, and Playa del Carmen (5th Ave) is just a 150-peso taxi ride away. ✔ Easy airport transfer – ADO bus (250 pesos/person, 45-min ride + 5-min taxi 150 pesos next to ado turism station). Minor drawbacks: ✖ No elevators – Tough for guests with mobility issues. ✖ Entertainment hiccups – The host sometimes forgot to switch back to English after Spanish announcements. Perfect for: Travelers who want good value, variety, and proximity to Playa’s nightlife.

We stayed at the Viva Azteca Hotel for 7 days to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When we entered our room, the small gestures made for our anniversary made us very happy. All the staff members are smiling and doing their best to ensure you have a relaxing holiday. The resort has a perfect beach. However, the sea was very wavy and covered with sea plants. The food and evening shows were very good. There are plenty of places to visit around the hotel. It is also within walking distance to the 5th Avenue in the center. As a result, we had a wonderful holiday. Thank you Viva Azteca, you brought color to our lives.

Firstly El Beso is simply 1 building within the larger Ocean Rivera resort. Meaning only your building is Adults Only. Our Swim up room was lovely. We tried almost all if not all of the 10 restaurants and we had no complaints the food was good. Maybe not always amazing but never terrible. There’s like 3/4 different brands or levels of service within the larger resort. El Beso seems to be 1 level from the top which is Privilege we switched for an extra night & the mini bar for privilege was much better as well as having the butler service and priority restaurant bookings when they were all booked. There’s also a special restaurant only for privilege that was great but none of the restaurants were extremely crowded. There’s an app or webpage that works like an app with all of the resort info and you can book reservations there. There’s also lots of entertainment nightly. It’s definitely a place to go and stay there’s no need to venture outside of the resort there’s so many things to do schedules are packed for all of the different areas & a bowling alley and theater. There is not much near by the tourist area is maybe 20 mins away by car down the beach.

Personally, the music sound from the bar did not inturrupt us because we are used to those noise. But if you need a quiet place to sleep, then the hotel would be the bad choice. They did not have a hair dryer so we should’ve dry hair with A/C🤣 There were some bugs like ants and mosquitos which freaked my partner. But “I” was satisfied about the hotel’s cleanness and in/exterior because it looked quite good. If you like bar, there is a good bar in front of the hotel and also a taco place. Overall, the experience in the hotel was quite good for me and the location was also so good because it’s so close(one block) from the 5th ave.

L'emplacement est super. L'enregistrement a été facile. Les chambres sont spacieuses avec une petite kitchenette (cuisinière et micro-ondes) mais il n'y a pas de vaisselle ni d'ustensiles pour cuisiner. Installation de café/thé décente. Beaux peignoirs. Réfrigérateur de taille moyenne avec section congélateur. Les chambres avec vue sur la ville n'ont pas de balcon et donnent sur la rue avec vue sur le glacier et la laverie. La piscine est chaude et des serviettes de piscine sont disponibles. À 1 pâté de maisons de la rue animée et à 2 pâtés de maisons de la plage. Il y a un bar avec une table de billard, un baby-foot et des fléchettes où l'happy hour était proposé pendant une heure par jour. LE PETIT-DÉJEUNER NE VALAIT PAS LA PEINE DE SE LEVER TÔT. Les options étaient très limitées et il était froid. De plus, après avoir vérifié notre réservation au restaurant du petit-déjeuner, ils insistaient pour que nous le payions lorsque nous l'avons payé avec la réservation. J'ai également eu l'impression que le personnel du petit-déjeuner était un peu impoli lorsque j'ai essayé de demander des détails sur la station, d'autres faisaient la queue pour me rappeler des choses qui étaient incluses ou non.

Excellent accueil, grande pièce, mais il faudrait une couverture pour entrer au premier étage. C'est vraiment dommage de devoir entrer dans la pièce sous la pluie quand il pleut. Très bon rapport qualité prix car l'emplacement est super.

Quel bel hôtel ! J'ai vraiment apprécié mon séjour ☺️. Le personnel et les installations étaient formidables !

Tout le personnel était sympathique et gentil. C'était mieux car il n'y avait que des étrangers et pas de Coréens. Personnellement, c'était une aubaine que je n'aie pas fait Arte ! Au contraire, j'ai rencontré beaucoup de Coréens pendant la tournée hahaha.
