Hôtels 4 étoiles prisés à Puerto Rico

Excellent semaine dans ce superbe hôtel. Nous avons apprécié la chambre spacieuse avec la superbe vue sur mer (obligée vu l'architecture de l'hôtel), la gentillesse, le sourire du personnel, qui ne cessait de nettoyer et d'être au petit soin pour le client. En clair une propreté irréprochable, des buffets royaux tant il y avait de choix. Bref nous nous sommes régalés à chaque repas. Evidemment nous ne remplissions pas nos assiettes de tous les mets pour garder cette possibilité de variation entre le déjeuner et le dîner. Les piscines très chouettes (2) pour les adultes et une spécialement conçue pour les enfants en bas âges top pour les familles qui en ont. Que dire de plus ? Les spectacles WOUAH nous avons été bluffés par la qualité (que nous ne trouvions plus ces dernières années quand nous partions en vacances). C'était vraiment d'un super niveau : que ce soit les chants, les danses, les portées....... C'était génial....... Alors on va penser que rien n'était négatif ...hé si. Un bémol : les cocktails. Là il y a réellement de l'amélioration à apporter car l'alcool il faut le chercher pour le sentir...... Mais honnêtement, c'était vraiment la seule chose qui était décevante. Nous avons adoré notre semaine et nous recommandons à 200 % à ceux qui savent apprécier à sa juste valeur les qualités d'un bon hôtel. Dernière chose : ne prenez pas l'excursion proposée pour aller à Mogan, prenait un taxi ça vous reviendra moins cher car nous avons payé 49 euros par personne juste pour être emmené avec le bus à Mogan (ok quartier libre 3h) et nous indiquer où prendre le bateau pour la traverser du retour. C'était cher payé. C'est par-contre à voir c'est un joli site avec des ruelles fleuries d'Hibiscus et Bougainvilliers

Nous avons passé 15 jours merveilleux dans la suite 708 de 100m2 avec une vue magnifique sur la mer et le port. Le séjour est spacieux avec une cuisine permettant de se faire des plats ou de se faire livrer (je recommande le restaurant El Barco). La chambre est immense avec une très bonne literie. La salle de bain comprend douche et baignoire, petit plus sympathique. Quant à la terrasse, c'est presque la plus belle pièce de la chambre ! Le seul petit problème est que le parking est payant (14€ la journée) mais il y a des places gratuites au rond point à 200m plus loin. Le petit déjeuner est digne de ce genre d'établissement avec salé, sucré, fruits frais, etc... Tout le personnel est sympathique et professionnel. Une hôtel où il fait bon vivre au soleil !

We stayed in a Yaizasol apartment. On arrival we checked in and upon entering our room we found no towels and the pillows (if you could call them pillows) were terrible. The inside of them had all broken down. We then checked the bedding. We took the bottom sheet off and found that both mattress protectors were filthy having clumps of hair stuck to them. They clearly had not been changed for a very long time. We went down to reception and spoke to the girl and explained. Her attitude was bordering on being rude saying that she could not help as housekeeping had gone home for the day (it was 4.30 in the afternoon?) She gave us 2 towels to put us on. The following day we received 2 extra pillows, which were in the same condition as the others. The mattress protectors had been taken away and were never replaced for the period of our stay. The apartment in general was very tired. There was paint flaking off the bathroom cabinet and the cushions on the bed and in the living room were filthy. We had booked b & b. The breakfast was terrible. The coffee machine did not work properly and the cups were far too small. The organisation was poor. We would come down every morning with tables still not cleared. The staff were doing their best, but there was simply not enough of them. If you wanted a cooked breakfast you had to order it. We tried it twice and did not bother again as it was just 'warmed' up food that had been clearly stood a while. We went down to the beach everyday as the pools did not get any sun until after 12pm. The hotel was in good proximity to the beach and the town. Puerto Rico is a lovely resort with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel could be a really nice one, but clearly is in need of new management. We would not stay here again, but would definitely return to Puerto Rico. I can not believe that Jet2 holidays are still using this hotel due to the many issues that keep re-accruing on other reviews.
