What an incredible surprise! I booked this hotel as I was attending Eurovision in Turin. Hotels were getting booked up fast and so I booked Hotel Glis without doing much research. I booked a superior double room. Due to a change of plan, I had to change the booking from a double to twin room and contacted the hotel directly to do this, it was not an issue and this was sorted quickly. On arrival, the staff at reception were friendly and so welcoming. Nothing was too much. Every communication I had with reception was helpful, efficient and just really positive. Breakfast was great and of a really good quality. The room was so much nicer than I was expecting - I was expecting the photos on some trip advisor reviews, a bit dated looking (sorry!), but opening the door I was so blown away by the quality and standard of the decor. My dad was worried he wouldn’t be able to make tea/coffee but there was a kettle in the room and a fridge with complimentary water! We also paid for the “mini fridge top up” on two days and got cans of pop, snacks, etc. This was really great. The hotel booked our taxi to the airport on departure day and this arrived with no issues. We encountered several different staff members and they were all so pleasant and so helpful. Our room was cleaned and fresh towers were left every day of our stay - this felt luxury compared to the UK! We were a little concerned about the ease of getting around to/from central Turin to this hotel, as it does feel more geared at the “out of city” business travellers, conference attendees etc., however we paid for a 72 hour bus ticket for €10 each which allowed us to get on as many buses and trams as we wanted for 72 hours, and using the app “CityMapper”, figured out that if we get the 49 and then 8 bus, it was super easy to travel in/out of Turin. It took around 25/30 mins dependent on traffic. Overall, this hotel was the most wonderful surprise and we will definitely return here on our next trip to Turin. As cleanliness is a key issue at the moment (pandemic!) I must start with this - I have NEVER seen a hotel so keen on cleaning EVERYTHING so much, it’s like you leave a glass, 3 seconds later it is gone to be cleaned. The rooms absolutely sparkle as does the rest of the hotel - very impressed. The hotel staff and the restaurant staff are absolutely one of a kind (hotel wise) as they are so kind, polite, considerate (being that I don’t speak a word of Italian) and just downright superb human beings. The restaurant staff in particular (including the bar staff) were very attentive and just genuinely happy, smiley people - it was a pleasant, refreshing change. The food was to a very high standard, good quality, fresh produce was definitely used. And the chef(s) definitely knew how to prepare it! I did not go hungry on my visit, as I absolutely HAD to finish everything on my plate. All in all a very pleasant stay. The only criticism was that the ‘high speed Wi-Fi’ coverage was extremely poor - to get Wi-Fi in the room I had to press my device to the room door, and next to no coverage was found in the bar and restaurant. In the end I had no alternative but to use my very expensive roaming data. In the age when high speed Wi-Fi with good coverage is the norm, I found this to be very strange. But this is genuinely my only criticism, mainly because it was a slight inconvenience for the bonuses side of my stay.

Séjour de 2 nuits début Novembre dans cet établissement. L'hôtel est bien situé et à proximité des transports en communs. L'accueil est correct mais hormis le lit confortable la chambre n'est pas à la hauteur du standing Novotel. Présence d'un cafard, beaucoup de poussière sur les meubles et accessoires, salle de bain peu pratique. La gestion du petit déjeuner est désastreuse et mal gérée! Le personnel fait de son mieux mais semble débordé...Croissants surgelés, jus d'orange chimique...Loin de ce que l'on attend d'un 4 étoiles! Certes le prix est correct mais je ne recommande pas cet hôtel tant qu'il n'y a pas de sérieuse amélioration!

Le petit déjeuner est correct (cafétéria), les problèmes de sécurité sont possibles. Il s'agit également d'un dortoir étudiant coopératif de trois universités locales. Je suis un étudiant international local. C'est un hôtel bien réglementé et adapté à l'hébergement. Le tram 4 à la porte va directement au centre-ville.

Nous avons passé deux nuits dans cet établissement et ne le regrettons pas. Nous l'avions choisi parce qu'il est légèrement en dehors de la ville ce qui est très pratique pour y garer la voiture (se garer dans Turin est infernal !) L'hôtel est parfaitement desservi (le Tram 15 et le bus 68 permettent de rejoindre la ville rapidement). Il est aussi possible de rejoindre Turin à pieds en longeant le Pô, ce qui est très agréable (compter une quarantaine de minutes). La chambre était très propre et lumineuse. Le personnel est tout à fait agréable et à l'écoute, que ce soit à l'accueil ou au service du petit-déjeuner (et ce malgré le manque de savoir vivre de certains autres hôtes !). L'hôtel propose de prêter des vélos (mais nous n'avons pas eu l'occasion d'en emprunter). Merci pour ce beau séjour que vous avez permis !
