We stayed at the Nayara Atacama resort for 3 nights as a family of four. Overall, I liked it enough and don’t have any terrible complaints, however I rate it a 4 out of 5 since it could be a lot better. The property is beautifully situated. It is near the town of San Pedro, and close to many excursion sites. The hotel certainly offers lots of options to take advantage of this. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Excursions were great with the tour guides being very helpful and entertaining. Most of the time we were on our own with a tour guide for excursions. Why a 4, not a 5? We felt like there were a lot of little things that were annoying - and it added up. In fact, I would rate it lower if it weren’t for the fact that every single staff member has done an amazing job. The team just makes such a huge difference. Any request or question - they were all immediately happy to help. First, a fairly minor point -- you are essentially forced to book your excursions before you even see the room. After a long day of flights / travel, that’s not ideal. I recommend that you contact them ahead of time and figure out what you want your schedule to be - because there are many options. Second, the meal times are completely out of sync with both excursions and the spa schedule. For example, first half day excursions all end at around 12:30 but lunch doesn’t get served until 1:30. So you get back tired after a trip and have to wait for an hour to get food. The worst part was at dinner - we had to rush through our meal (only starts at 7:30) to make the 8:20 astronomy hike. We saw several other families doing the same and complaining that it was difficult to finish a meal in 50 minutes. And the spa closes at 9, which means you can’t ever go after dinner. Yes, there is a limited bar menu but we just found all of the scheduling to be incredibly inconvenient. This is especially true for kids. It would be such a simple fix to extend the meal times and create a more relaxing mealtime atmosphere for everyone, instead of adhering to a random and rigid schedule. Third - and this is the biggest negative -- my kids were utterly disappointed with the pools. These were probably the worst hotel pools we’ve seen, unfortunately. They are super tiny - and all but one are freezing cold. One of them was getting redone while we were there (and the smell from construction was strong) and the only heated pool was dirty and they kept trying to clean it… but it was pretty green. I think it is fine if adults just want to relax by the pool (in which case there are plenty of quiet and secluded spots) but if you are traveling with kids, it is just not the place for swimming. That isn’t great because kids get tired on excursions and a nice dip in the afternoon would be perfect. I probably wouldn't have booked this resort if I knew about the pool situation. Chambre suite très bien correspondant à description les serveurs au bar sont très bien cela compense en partie le fait qu’il n’y a pas de restaurant comme indiqué dans le routard mais seulement pizza sandwich Nous avions réservé oar booking avons demandé une nuit de plus car oas eu le temps de tt visiter on nous annonce d’abord un prix moins élevé puis finalement le même prix car pleine saison or l’hôtel n’était pas complet et la réceptionniste voulait que je paye le matin même tt de suite politique de l’hôtel pas d’explication pour la disparition du restaurant qui était un critère du choix car pour aller au centre du village route en terre battue mal éclairée avec dés chiens errants eau de piscine froide

Hôtel, d'après nous, le mieux placé de San Pedro, il jouxte l'église. Calme presque absolu. Cadre avec architecture superbe. Chambres correctes, ménage fait tous les jours. Seul bémol : notre chasse d'eau se remplissait très très lentement (10 mn) ce qui est désagréable. Signalé, mais resté en l'état ... Toujours quelqu'un à la réception, tout le monde ne peut pas accéder à l'hôtel, porte toujours fermée, il faut sonner pour se faire ouvrir. Un peu gênant de déranger, mais gage pour la sécurité. Et un coffre fort se trouve dans la chambre. Petit déjeuner super, jus de fruits frais, pains maison, thé, café, chocolat, des oeufs, des fruits, confitures, etc. Les soirs, entre 18 et 20 heures, moment de convivialité ”offert” par l'hôtel, avec dégustations de vins chiliens accompagnés d'amuses gueules (fruits secs, melon, raisin frais ...) Distributeurs d'eau à disposition. Pas de restaurant, mais dehors il n'y a que l'embarras du choix à quelques mètres ou dizaines de mètres. Petite piscine pour les amateurs, patio pour prendre l'air. Salle de lecture, etc. etc. Personnel très accueillant.

Une super belle petite station balnéaire où vivent de nombreux touristes européens et américains. L'hôtel dispose d'installations complètes, d'un petit déjeuner copieux, et la petite agence de voyage et le restaurant sont très bons, et vous pouvez rester une journée sans sortir. Il y a une voiture au centre de la ville toutes les demi-heures. La nuit, regarder la scène nocturne dans la cour pour voir le ciel étoilé est vraiment incroyable. Les étoiles dans le ciel sont super belles. Je n'ai jamais vu un si beau ciel étoilé après être allé dans des dizaines de pays. L'hôtel le plus distinctif de ce voyage en Amérique du Sud, fortement recommandé !

Oui, le temps de check-in est de 15 h, mais il semblait un peu extrême de faire asseoir les gens dans le lobby et d'attendre jusqu'à 15 h sur le point quand les chambres étaient clairement prêtes.

Les chambres bien nettoyées et équipées avec four pots panneaux, glace, eau potable à la volonté, TV et air conditionné. Ce dernier était désactivé à minuit... mais nous ne manquons pas parce que j'étais plus frais cette heure. Bonne localisation, 5 minutes à pied jusqu'à la rue principale. Dona Rosana très attentive et performante. Comme le tour était très tôt nous a pris le café la nuit précédente.
