« Although the hotel has a long long history, but the room, common area, common facilities have been maintained fairly well. In very good location, close to Sogo. House cleaning is done well while we stayed there. Loved the gym, one of the very few hotels that I have stayed in with a proper size gym. Has kids play area, family friendly. Has in hotel massage and spa. Service is great, particularly the doormen, they were super helpful with our luggage and getting on and off taxis with our kid. Very reasonably priced. Also loved the in room popcorn snack. Attention to detail is great for me. »

« Hotel is great overall, but beds are really hard surface type. The hotel feels like was last renovated / built some 20 or so years ago, which makes everything looks dated. However, in terms of cleanliness, service and location it is an excellent hotel (if you are ok sleeping on a hard bed). Staff is very helpful. We didn’t try spa or dining so cannot comment here. Location is good: it is not too far from central district yet if you’re driving (we did) you don’t have to drive through the most congested areas. There are a few excellent coffee places nearby. Many places around to eat. »

« Nous étions ici deux nuits en demi-pension. La chambre avec un lit Queensize et un lit unique était également bien équipée avec la place de siège dans la fenêtre Erker et pour les deux nuits est en ordre. Tout était bien entretenu et pas dans un état anormal. Le petit déjeuner asiatique était riche et a été un petit déjeuner différent le deuxième jour. Le dîner a été proposé comme un buffet de plats froids et chauds. La qualité était très bonne et délicieuse. Le petit-déjeuner et le dîner peuvent être améliorés en se réchauffant. Je voudrais souligner en particulier l'orientation du service de la femme du spa qui nous a beaucoup aidés dans la machine à laver et qui nous a traités très chaleureusement lors des visites du spa. Le spa est situé sur F1 et dispose de 5 baignades, d'une sauna 72° et d'un bain à vapeur. L'installation est certainement existante depuis quelques décennies, mais est absolument propre et très entretenue. Seul le bruit de l'air perturbe quelque chose. »

« We had a great stay at Freshfields Hotel in Taichung. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, nicely maintained and very comfortable. While the location isn’t the most convenient, the hotel offers shuttle services that you can book in advance, which made getting around much easier. A heads-up for anyone planning to use the public baths: make sure to bring a swimming cap or shower cap, as well as a swimsuit. If you forget, you’ll need to purchase them at the hotel in order to use the facilities. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable experience! »
