Cet hôtel historique est exceptionnel, au niveau de sa situation au bord du lac Majeur, son architecture, son élégance, son accueil et son service nettement au-dessus de la moyenne et à tous les niveaux, sa propreté, et j'en passe. Nous y retournons régulièrement et chaque séjour est un délice. Magnifique, le restaurant non seulement sert un petit déjeuner hautement varié, mais sa cuisine fine et délicate ravit le palais exigeant dans un cadre évoquant le second empire à l'italienne, soucieux du détail et du rappel historique.

Rien à dire. Tout était parfait. L’accueil était magnifique même pour notre chien. Un lit pour chien dans la chambre, un jouet et surtout le sentiment qu’il ne dérangeait pas. Je précise que notre chien est très bien éduqué, et que nous faisons de tout pour que personne soit déranger par lui. Nous avons eu un transfert depuis la gare, déjà là tout parfait. Le chauffeur très gentil. La réception à l’hôtel parfait. Bref, nous y retournerons.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise and a highlight of our trip in the northern lake regions of Italy. We had to leave the Lake Como region as we were only able to find one night for an acceptable hotel there (i.e. clean and not run down), so we drove on to Lago Maggiore hoping our newly booked hotel would be as wonderful as the pictures showed. We ended up staying two nights and we were very sad to leave onto the next portion of our trip! To put it into perspective we came from a Hilton to this hotel and while the Hilton was impressive, there was something more pleasing and charming here. It is a completely new hotel along Lago Maggiore. Having finished construction in late August/early September, they had almost no wear and tear in the hotel. It is also ideal as it is located close to a ferry location, no more than 10 minute walk. This made it ideal for visiting the other islands around the lake. Their downstairs dinning room for breakfast and dinner were absolutely amazing. I cannot say enough about the chef or the professionalism of the staff. The knowledge of their maître d' taught us so much not only about the different food and wines, but the history and culture of this beautiful Italian city. They have a roof top area for lunch and I do recommend you use it as the view is spectacular. It is a relaxing way to spend the evening. Also, as it is located right along the lake, there is a long access of walkway just on the other side of the street to stroll and enjoy the views of not only the lake but some of the islands you may visit. A good consideration when having to walk off the excess meals you are sure to delight in! If you are in the norther lake region, do make Stresa a planned stop. I believe you will enjoy it much more than Lake Como as it is far enough from Milan so that it does not suffer as much from traffic congestion as Lake Como. And if you are staying in Stresa, look no further than here.

We had a triple corner room (with 2 balconies) which was very spacious compared to other hotels we've stayed in,bathroom had a bath and separate walk in shower. Staff all very helpful and friendly with good English. Ample selection at buffet breakfast, continental and bacon and scrambled egg available. Very clean in all areas. Great location, across from the lake, near the ferry station, lots of restaurants and little shops nearby. Double glazing kept the room quiet from street sounds. Others have commented on lack of soundproofing but we had no problem, once or twice heard next doors shower running but only when in our bathroom. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again if I return to Lago Maggiore. We were in room 104, in the Stresa part of the hotel.

Chambres conformes à la description, confortables et très propres. L'espace piscine est très appréciable par forte chaleur et après les visites. Le bassin est impeccable, on trouve facilement un transat ou une chaise pour s'installer, sur simple demande ! L'espace bar est géré par Silvio, barman, qui nous a gentiment orienté dans le choix de ses cocktails, accompagnés de plusieurs tapas . Petit point négatif pour notre dîner le jour de notre arrivée. Nous avions envie d'un simple plat, seulement le restaurant ne proposait qu'un menu complet. A notre demande d'une carte , nous avons senti le maître d'hôtel un peu agacé, mais heureusement tous les autres serveurs sont souriants et agréables. La situation de l'hôtel est parfaite pour la visite des îles Borromées ; l'embarcadère se situant juste en bas de la rue . Une grande promenade en bord de lac permet de rejoindre le centre de Stresa en 15 min où l'on trouve plein de restaurants et boutiques. En conclusion, nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille.

C’etait mon hotel préféré à Stresa avant le Covid. J’y suis allé chaque été pendant 4 ans. C’est la premiere fois que j’y retournais apres la pandemie….quelle déception. Tout tombe en décrépitude: douches extérieures pisicine cassées et donc tout le monde va a la piscine sans se doucher….Plus de minibar sauf pour les Suites, donc pensez à amener vos boissons…. Fini le service des cafés à la table le matin qui faisait le charme d’antant de cet hotel, maintenant do it yourself. Le personel a été drastiquement réduit. Et je vous fais cadeau de la vue sur la piscine/lac laterale avec vue au premier plan sur l’immense grue des travaux de l’hotel en face. Et des vagues de bus qui crachent leurs voyages organisés américains tous les soirs…fini les familles d’habitués au bord de la pisicine. Et au moment de regler la note, la Direction essaye de vous cacher dans l’addition un service fee de 5% sur le total pour le poure boire du personel…..ca marche surement avec les américains…. C’est terminé, d’autant plus qu’à ce niveau de prix la, il y a nettement mieux sur l’avenue maintenant. Quelle tristesse, j’adorais cet hotel.

he room was clean and seemed recently renovated, the air conditioning worked well, breakfast service was efficient and all staff were friendly and spoke a variety of languages, specifically French and English, but I think I also heard them speaking German. We booked the restaurant Al Storno, which is run by the hotel as a separate restaurant and it was very good - highly recommended. Disliked · The bathroom fixtures were in need of renovation, specifically the shower cubicle frame had corrosion around the metal joints and didn't easily close or open, and the wall fixtures for the shower head and hairdryer were poorly finished - lack of attention to detail. Some of the light switches in the room didn't work, but this wasn't an issue for us tbh.

We found this hotel while searching for somewhere to stay on Lake Maggiore. We were in Brig in Switzerland at the time and had been looking on the internet for a hotel near the lake in Stresa. We booked this hotel and what a great hotel it is, it's beautifully decorated it has nice sized comfortable rooms with balconies and it's 2 minutes walk from the lake and front of Stresa. The big bonus for us was that it also had underground parking which was great for us as we were are on a 6 week touring holiday on our Motorcycle. The staff at this hotel are so helpful and pleasant to talk to it just makes the stay even better. We will definitely recommend this Hotel to our friends if there thinking of coming to lake Maggiore everything about it was perfect for us just a great place to stay.

Rien à dire. Tout était parfait. L’accueil était magnifique même pour notre chien. Un lit pour chien dans la chambre, un jouet et surtout le sentiment qu’il ne dérangeait pas. Je précise que notre chien est très bien éduqué, et que nous faisons de tout pour que personne soit déranger par lui. Nous avons eu un transfert depuis la gare, déjà là tout parfait. Le chauffeur très gentil. La réception à l’hôtel parfait. Bref, nous y retournerons.

Chambres conformes à la description, confortables et très propres. L'espace piscine est très appréciable par forte chaleur et après les visites. Le bassin est impeccable, on trouve facilement un transat ou une chaise pour s'installer, sur simple demande ! L'espace bar est géré par Silvio, barman, qui nous a gentiment orienté dans le choix de ses cocktails, accompagnés de plusieurs tapas . Petit point négatif pour notre dîner le jour de notre arrivée. Nous avions envie d'un simple plat, seulement le restaurant ne proposait qu'un menu complet. A notre demande d'une carte , nous avons senti le maître d'hôtel un peu agacé, mais heureusement tous les autres serveurs sont souriants et agréables. La situation de l'hôtel est parfaite pour la visite des îles Borromées ; l'embarcadère se situant juste en bas de la rue . Une grande promenade en bord de lac permet de rejoindre le centre de Stresa en 15 min où l'on trouve plein de restaurants et boutiques. En conclusion, nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille.

Nous avons aimé cet hôtel. Le personnel était très confortable et amiable. Nous avons deux chambres avec un balcon partagé magnifique et la vue la plus merveilleuse - le soleil sur les îles Borromee sur le Lago Maggiore. Le petit déjeuner était très cool et un grand début pour la journée.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise and a highlight of our trip in the northern lake regions of Italy. We had to leave the Lake Como region as we were only able to find one night for an acceptable hotel there (i.e. clean and not run down), so we drove on to Lago Maggiore hoping our newly booked hotel would be as wonderful as the pictures showed. We ended up staying two nights and we were very sad to leave onto the next portion of our trip! To put it into perspective we came from a Hilton to this hotel and while the Hilton was impressive, there was something more pleasing and charming here. It is a completely new hotel along Lago Maggiore. Having finished construction in late August/early September, they had almost no wear and tear in the hotel. It is also ideal as it is located close to a ferry location, no more than 10 minute walk. This made it ideal for visiting the other islands around the lake. Their downstairs dinning room for breakfast and dinner were absolutely amazing. I cannot say enough about the chef or the professionalism of the staff. The knowledge of their maître d' taught us so much not only about the different food and wines, but the history and culture of this beautiful Italian city. They have a roof top area for lunch and I do recommend you use it as the view is spectacular. It is a relaxing way to spend the evening. Also, as it is located right along the lake, there is a long access of walkway just on the other side of the street to stroll and enjoy the views of not only the lake but some of the islands you may visit. A good consideration when having to walk off the excess meals you are sure to delight in! If you are in the norther lake region, do make Stresa a planned stop. I believe you will enjoy it much more than Lake Como as it is far enough from Milan so that it does not suffer as much from traffic congestion as Lake Como. And if you are staying in Stresa, look no further than here.

he room was clean and seemed recently renovated, the air conditioning worked well, breakfast service was efficient and all staff were friendly and spoke a variety of languages, specifically French and English, but I think I also heard them speaking German. We booked the restaurant Al Storno, which is run by the hotel as a separate restaurant and it was very good - highly recommended. Disliked · The bathroom fixtures were in need of renovation, specifically the shower cubicle frame had corrosion around the metal joints and didn't easily close or open, and the wall fixtures for the shower head and hairdryer were poorly finished - lack of attention to detail. Some of the light switches in the room didn't work, but this wasn't an issue for us tbh.

We had a triple corner room (with 2 balconies) which was very spacious compared to other hotels we've stayed in,bathroom had a bath and separate walk in shower. Staff all very helpful and friendly with good English. Ample selection at buffet breakfast, continental and bacon and scrambled egg available. Very clean in all areas. Great location, across from the lake, near the ferry station, lots of restaurants and little shops nearby. Double glazing kept the room quiet from street sounds. Others have commented on lack of soundproofing but we had no problem, once or twice heard next doors shower running but only when in our bathroom. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again if I return to Lago Maggiore. We were in room 104, in the Stresa part of the hotel.

C’etait mon hotel préféré à Stresa avant le Covid. J’y suis allé chaque été pendant 4 ans. C’est la premiere fois que j’y retournais apres la pandemie….quelle déception. Tout tombe en décrépitude: douches extérieures pisicine cassées et donc tout le monde va a la piscine sans se doucher….Plus de minibar sauf pour les Suites, donc pensez à amener vos boissons…. Fini le service des cafés à la table le matin qui faisait le charme d’antant de cet hotel, maintenant do it yourself. Le personel a été drastiquement réduit. Et je vous fais cadeau de la vue sur la piscine/lac laterale avec vue au premier plan sur l’immense grue des travaux de l’hotel en face. Et des vagues de bus qui crachent leurs voyages organisés américains tous les soirs…fini les familles d’habitués au bord de la pisicine. Et au moment de regler la note, la Direction essaye de vous cacher dans l’addition un service fee de 5% sur le total pour le poure boire du personel…..ca marche surement avec les américains…. C’est terminé, d’autant plus qu’à ce niveau de prix la, il y a nettement mieux sur l’avenue maintenant. Quelle tristesse, j’adorais cet hotel.

Cet hôtel historique est exceptionnel, au niveau de sa situation au bord du lac Majeur, son architecture, son élégance, son accueil et son service nettement au-dessus de la moyenne et à tous les niveaux, sa propreté, et j'en passe. Nous y retournons régulièrement et chaque séjour est un délice. Magnifique, le restaurant non seulement sert un petit déjeuner hautement varié, mais sa cuisine fine et délicate ravit le palais exigeant dans un cadre évoquant le second empire à l'italienne, soucieux du détail et du rappel historique.
