The room made a decent first impression and did the bare minimum. But, it quickly became clear that it’s best suited for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the room is fine if you’re just passing through, but anything longer starts to feel like stretching it. Staff presence around the hotel was limited. They clearly run on a lean operation, which can go either way. The guard in front of the elevator stood out in the best possible way and added a genuinely warm, human touch, which helped balance things out. At check-in, I was given two complimentary cocktail coupons for the upstairs bar, which immediately lifted my spirits. This was a place I had enjoyed many times before and often recommended to friends and family. I had good memories of the atmosphere, the food, and the general vibe, so I went in with high hopes. In the past I had written raving 5-star reviews of their restaurant food and amazing service! Unfortunately, the experience that followed didn’t live up to those expectations. What should have been a simple, enjoyable night out unraveled into confusion and unwelcoming interactions. Small moments piled up, the mood shifted, and it became clear that the experience had gone off the rails. Rather than force it, my group and I decided to take our time and money elsewhere. Sometimes you read the room and move on. I returned to the hotel later that night and stayed over. Took a hot shower in the morning, loved the smell of their body wash, btw! Another brief interaction during checkout reinforced the same theme: rigid, abrupt, and lacking the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel welcome. All in all, it’s disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed and freely recommended lose its consistency and warmth. I’m no longer comfortable recommending it, and I’m not sure I would choose to return. As for the unused cocktail coupon, I still have it. Any takers?

VERY GOOD STAFF AND KIND BEST PLACE TO STAY IN CITY

I stayed for 2 nights, it didn't feel safe for me as a solo woman traveller. One the first night around 11pm there were 3-4 men shouting and laughing and knocked my door. I was scared and called the reception. The phone wire was not connected to the phone, i have to hold it tight to the phone while i was speaking. It was a terrifying experience. When in emergency even the phone wasn't working! the receptionist took 30 min to for the men to calm down. The next day morning the receptionist told me they men moved out. But i saw them in the evening in the hotel. Didn't feel safe. Again, the men, shouting and aloud. Still i couldn't sleep there, awake whole two nights i stayed there, didn't feel safe. The place was clean. Location was good.

L'hôtel est situé en bordure du quartier de Thamel, offrant un havre de paix loin du chaos et de l'agitation de la ville. Service : Le service général est haut de gamme, et le petit-déjeuner était le meilleur que j'aie jamais pris dans un hôtel au Népal. Propreté : Très bonne. Environnement : Niché dans une petite ruelle, l'hôtel est verdoyant et luxuriant, ce qui en fait un lieu agréable à visiter.

Ils sont très accueillants et le personnel de la réception était génial. Ils acceptent les cartes visa internationales. Chaque étage dispose d'un joli balcon pour bavarder, manger du café et fumer. Avec ce budget, meilleur hôtel. Ma chambre était la 404. Problèmes: 1. Le téléphone n'était pas mort. 2. Les rideaux sont très fins, donc le matin, vous ne pouvez pas dormir au soleil. 3. Les portes et fenêtres sont très vieilles, c'est pourquoi si quelqu'un parle à l'extérieur de la pièce, vous entendrez tout et peut-être qu'il vous entendra aussi. 4. Ils fournissent juste des mouchoirs et du savon, ils n’ont pas fourni de brosse à dents, de dentifrice ou de shampoing. Donc, si vous avez réservé cet hôtel, gardez-le avec vous. 5. L'hôtel ne dispose pas d'ascenseur, donc si vous n'aimez pas les escaliers, ce n'est pas pour vous et vous pouvez parler à l'hôtel avant de réserver pour la chambre du 2ème étage.

J'ai eu une terrible expérience dans cet hôtel - il a réservé comme un premier arrêt à Kathmandu à l'arrivée au Népal, un endroit où je me place pour mettre mes bagages pendant le voyage et une nuit dernière avant de partir du pays. Il n'y a pas de disposition pour le contrôle de sac - pas d'étiquette donnée ou similaire. Demande si je pouvais partir / vérifier mon sac a été dit oui et de quitter devant le bureau de front. Deux semaines plus tard, quand je suis retourné au sac d'hôtel, il était encore dans le lobby devant le bureau de front. Les choses manquaient bien sûr - pas assez de valeur pour argumenter, mais le fait qu'ils ne pouvaient même pas être dérangés de déplacer le sac quelques pieds vers un coffre-fort ou un endroit de garde ou le genre est un indice de la façon dont ce lieu roule. Ils ont essayé de réserver un transbordeur pour le matin d'abord à l'aéroport par l'hôtel, listé comme service inclus. Au lieu de 5h15, il est devenu un jeu de laisser faire un accord et voir combien nous pouvons charger en ne donnant aucune preuve il y avait même un chauffeur. Le Nepal est un pays merveilleux - cet hôtel a été une expérience constante de mauvaise qualité. Les chambres elles-mêmes sont meh - n'a pas essayé le petit déjeuner gratuit, sur le restaurant local était assez bon, l'atmosphère/la nourriture. Ce n'est pas un hôtel bon marché selon les normes locales - pour le point de prix il y a beaucoup / beaucoup d'options dans la région.

C'est la deuxième fois que je laisse un avis pour l'Hotel Kumari Boutique. J'ai séjourné ici pendant quelques mois et il a vraiment l'impression de rentrer chez moi. Les chambres sont super propres et équipées de tout ce dont vous avez besoin. La zone est grande, au cœur de Thamel, mais calme et tranquille. De nombreux cafés, restaurants et boutiques à proximité. Le personnel est super amical, professionnel et hébergé. Merci beaucoup à l'équipe Kumari pour faire mon séjour agréable et confortable. Vous êtes merveilleux :). Je reviendrai quand je reviendrai à Katmandu. Je le recommande très fort.

C’est un superbe hôtel , l’emplacement est bon et c’est très calme . Ils sont très accueillants et souciants . J’ai été traité comme un roi . Juste que l’eau dans les toilettes sent pas bon du tout c’est le seul défaut de l’hôtel . Et aussi j’ai réclamé un changement de drap et couvertures le gérant m’a promis mais il l’a pas fait , j’ai du dormir 5 jours sur la même couverture

Baudha Apart Hotel The Air is much cleaner at these heights. A lovely view to be seen from the roof top upon the city down below. There is a room up there, for yoga, for exercise, or meditation. An elevator takes you there, but you can climb the stairs, if you wish, especially to prepare for a mountain trek – there is an ample storage room in that regard. Boudha Apart is owned by a Sherpa family, originally from Lukla, so there are many good contacts with the high mountain community. The hotel is fairly new, and that means nothing is broken. That is to say also, that it is well maintained, that the guests are not a rowdy sort, and they are mindful of each other's tranquility. The rooms are well thought out, and many have a sun facing balcony. Both sink and shower have abundant hot water, adjustable as you like. On the ground floor is a large restaurant, with a diverse menu of local cuisine, and western comfort foods. The basement is a parking garage for cars and bikes. The staff is of good cheer, and supportive of your adventures and plans. They, most conveniently, pick up and deliver to the airport. There is also a car and driver for various tours, as you will. And finally to say, the price to value is most fair, as one compares to other hotels in the region.

J'ai déjà visité et j'étais satisfait, alors j'ai visité à nouveau. Le personnel de l'hôtel reste sympathique et réactif. La literie est propre et confortable. La salle de bain est propre et sans insectes. J'étais très satisfait et je me suis reposé. La prochaine fois que je visiterai le Népal, je réserverai cet hôtel.
