Hôtels 2 étoiles à New York, États-Unis

This stay was not what I would call good... It was in fact a poor experience. By this I mean. I arrived at 3.50pm to get checked into a room that I was informed would be ready for check in at 3pm... The room was not ready, and i was told they would try to have it ready in 20-25 mins. I explained that that was not acceptable. I was told I could wait in the lobby area...I again explained that that was not acceptable. Another employee jumped in to say, I could sit in the lobby. Now I am irritated. I explained in more detail that I could not very well change in the lobby, being that I had to change and get to a wedding in Yonkers for 5.30...He then started to challenge me. Started telling me how he didn't like the tone of my voice. I then dismissed him and suggested he move away and let me deal with the situation with the desk clerk...who by the way was VERY, VERY, helpful, and whom I had no issues with, because she was doing everything she could to accommodate. The real problem was with the cleaning crew and their supervisor , who kept telling her the wrong things. I even offered for them to allow me to change, and then they could have the room to complete getting it ready. They told her to tell me that it wasn't protocol for me to do that. To which I responded that it wasn't protocol to not have the room ready. At this time the desk associate, Aaliyah, who as I said was very helpful, and who I had NO ISSUES with, and she knew that, suggested that I would be reimbursed 50% for all the stress that I encountered, and gave me the room key to allow me and my wife to change and be on our way. This is where I say common sense made more sense than ”protocol”. So my review will be....Great job handling a difficult situation by the desk associate, Aaliyah... Poor job by the room ready crew. And a terrible job by the associate who decided to challenge me in what was a difficult situation, instead of finding a way to help. 5 STARS for Aaliyah 1 STAR for Cleaning Crew (-0) for associate.

J'ai séjourné une semaine au HI New York City Hostel, et voici mon retour d’expérience détaillé. Points positifs : L’emplacement : Généralement, l’auberge est située dans l’Upper West Side, un quartier calme. On est à 2 minutes à pied du métro et à deux pas de Central Park. La propreté : Les dortoirs, les salles de bain partagées et les espaces communs sont nettoyés. Les équipements : Casiers individuels dans les chambres, lumière et prise USB par lit. La cuisine commune est très grande Le personnel : Correct mais pas toujours très chaleureux. On sent le personnel rodé à gérer un gros volume. L’enregistrement (check-in) peut être long aux heures de pointe.

C'est très proche de l'aéroport, la chambre n'est pas grande, mais elle est très propre. Il n'y a pas de bruit des avions qui décollent et atterrissent la nuit. Il y a aussi des plats chauds pour le petit-déjeuner. Bien qu'il n'y ait pas beaucoup de variétés, cela peut satisfaire. votre faim, à part le prix un peu élevé, c'est votre propre problème ! Pas mal pour une escale ! Vous devez réserver la navette pour l'aéroport à l'avance. Il s'agit d'une Mercedes-Benz de dix places. Si elle est pleine, vous devez prendre un taxi vous-même.

Nous y arriverons à 10 h - Nous savions que nous ne pouvions pas nous check-in mais nous l'avons demandé de toute façon. La dame sur Thurs 9/28 m'a dit que nous ne pouvions pas encore et nous a donné des étiquettes pour nous tenir nos sacs pour nous. Très agréable et agréable. Nous retournons ensuite à l'hôtel à 9 h pour finalement check-in. Nous avons eu une belle journée à voir la ville, nous avons été dits que la chambre que j'ai réservée était survendue et qu'ils ne peuvent pas me fournir un Roi que j'ai acheté, mais un double. C'était le gestionnaire - elle a rabais le compte et 54 $ et m'a dit qu'ils veilleront à ce que nous soyons hébergés demain. La chambre que nous avons posée était la taille d'une marche dans le placard avec un lit avec une fenêtre qui a chuté toute la nuit en faisant un bruit fort avec chaque goutte. C'était horrible et, honnêtement, un rabais de 54 $ n'était pas assez proche. Vendredi à 9 heures, nous descendons tourner les clés de la chambre et expliquer à un tiers encore ....elle comprend et dit que je vois des notes ici et nous avons une chambre royale pour vous. Je me demandais si nous pouvions aller en avant et obtenir le numéro de la chambre, mais elle a dit non encore qu'on n'a pas à attendre que les gens vérifient. Nous vérifions nos sacs avec des étiquettes et les laisser au bureau à nouveau. Nous retournons à 9 h et une autre personne travaille et n'a absolument aucune idée de ce qui était censé être fait pour nous. Je l'ai pris après avoir été si fatiguée. La dame m'a donné l'email aux gestionnaires et a dit qu'il lui parlerait pour nous. Je vais aller à l'avenir mais maintenant que nous avons vérifié le matin, je ne crois pas que nous serions compensés pour cette terrible manque de communication. Nous n'avons même pas dû déballer nos sacs.

L’hôtel est situé à l’avant-dernière étape de la pointe sud-ouest de Brooklyn, il est donc loin du centre-ville de Brooklyn et de Manhattan. Ce n’est certainement pas un hôtel de quartier, mais un hôtel destiné principalement aux voyageurs internationaux, compte tenu de la qualité de la marque internationale Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG). Il vaut la peine d’y séjourner si l’on peut obtenir un bon prix. Sinon, il faut simplement choisir l’hôtel IHG similaire à Manhattan…

This is very much a classic, old-fashioned American motel, but it is not the kind of place you need to be overly worried about. The sheets and towels are changed, and small packets of all-in-one shampoo are provided. The bathroom has a bathtub and shower with a shower curtain. There can occasionally be a slight odor, which is probably the main downside. The hair dryer is an old-style black unit mounted on the wall, and it may remind you of the kinds of dryers that used to be common in motels years ago. The room includes a refrigerator, microwave, and television. Wi-Fi is available and generally convenient, although it sometimes disconnects, which is part of the motel’s charm. Cell phone reception is also somewhat weak, but I was still able to get a signal. During my stay, AT&T and Verizon were not particularly strong, while T-Mobile seemed to work better. All of the buildings are single-story, and the parking lot is spacious, so finding a place to park should not be a problem. There also appears to be a Chinese restaurant attached to the reception area, although I never saw it open during my stay. Staff are usually available at the front desk from around 9:00 a.m. until about 11:00 p.m. For arrivals outside those hours, you can call in advance. There is a key lockbox outside, and you can open it using a passcode, so late-night check-in is still easy and convenient. This is not a luxurious property, but it is a practical and reasonably comfortable motel, especially for travelers arriving by car and watching baseball games in Allstar village.

La chambre était sans spot et a l'odeur de bien quand nous sommes allés à l'intérieur. Le tapis était propre. Le lit était super confortable avec des feuilles propres. Il était en plus 2 jours !

L'emplacement est excellent. Vous pouvez voir Central Park depuis la fenêtre. L'apparence du bâtiment est très classique avec de superbes sculptures en briques. Il y a une piscine dans l'hôtel. Il y a également un marché gratuit à proximité. Il existe également de nombreuses possibilités de restauration.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Hotel was under renovation so ice machines weren't working, halls were dirty, and rooms needed these upgrades. My room itself was decently cleaned but the bathroom was not. The corners had accumulated dirt\dust\tp and the bathtub had a ring around it. Shower water pressure was great and had Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash available. It is also one of the few hotels I've stayed at that actually included bars of soap if that is your preference like me. The breakfast had a decent variety to choose from, especially if you just wanted something quick. I chose to head into Albany and get some real food and coffee. All of what I said above is fixable with this ongoing renovation and that should be taken into account when reading my review. What probably won't be fixed is the lack of any sort of soundproofing in the rooms. I could hear every door close on my floor and people talking in the hall sounded like they were in my room!! Strongly suggest you get a room away from the elevators if possible. Unfortunately I did not have the time to check out the Pool or Hot Tub but did see some kids having a good time in there. Location is 15 minutes away of just about everything you want to see in Albany and I was all over the place that weekend. Take an edible or Ambien to sleep through late night partiers or early risers and you will be all set!!
