Cet hôtel accueille de nombreux clients chinois. Le personnel est très sympathique. Il est situé à proximité du métro, mais donne sur la rue, ce qui peut engendrer un peu de bruit. Le restaurant se trouve sur le toit-terrasse et la cuisine est excellente. 👍
Équipements : Informations de base complètes.
Propreté : Propre et bien rangé.
Environnement : Assez bruyant.

L'hôtel est un endroit idéal pour récupérer et faire une escale avant de prendre l'avion depuis l'aéroport international du Caire. Il est facile d'y accéder depuis le terminal 3 via le pont de liaison. Le personnel est sympathique, en particulier Aziz qui était exceptionnellement serviable. Nous avons fait une excursion d'une journée avant notre vol le matin. Le seul problème est de commander un Uber et de le faire venir dans le hall de l'hôtel. Je ne sais pas pourquoi, mais plusieurs chauffeurs ont annulé parce que l'hôtel prend en charge le terminal d'arrivée au lieu de l'hôtel. L'hôtel dispose de navettes qui vont en ville. Le petit déjeuner était également bon et le personnel était incroyable. Atmosphère paisible loin des salons de l'aéroport et du chaos de l'aéroport.

Honestly, I want to save this gem in Cairo a secret because I will return and I don’t want it to be overbooked. It was absolutely the best managed hostel I have EVER stayed in. Soooo clean and safe, and absolutely beautiful. I could feel the care of this historic building. Well done staff! Don’t change a thing. The swimming pool and deck were so clean and an amazing ambiance.Thank you!

La douche était équipée d'eau chaude et de climatisation, ce qui la rendait très confortable pour un dortoir bon marché.
Les lits étaient simples, et non superposés, et bien choisis, sans insectes.
Il y avait aussi un stand de boissons juste devant l'hôtel.
Inutile de préciser que l'ascenseur était le point fort.

Mais il est devant les rues principales, donc même la nuit est très noire.

L'environnement est très bon, le hall est luxueux, l'hôtel dans son ensemble est un hôtel de style manoir séparé de la ville extérieure, le personnel a une bonne attitude de service, nous a aidés à traduire et à passer des appels téléphoniques, et ils parlent tous couramment l'anglais. Le chauffeur local a déclaré que cet hôtel est un bien du gouvernement. La décoration de la chambre est assez bonne, mais elle est un peu vieille, on ne peut pas trop en demander

The hotel is basic but very fair considering the price point. It is also very close to the airport and there are many supermarkets around the area. I recommend this place if you search something to be close to the airport. The host is extremely friendly and takes good care of his guests.

L'hôtel est correct dans l'ensemble. La chambre est un peu petite. . C'est bien pour une personne, mais c'est un peu trop de monde pour deux personnes. Le service de la réception est franchement moyen !

MMichele CarlesiUnfortunately, this time I experienced a few issues with the room. The tap was clogged and, after it was repaired, the sink became clogged as well. The door was also partly broken and had to be pushed very hard to close properly.
As a business traveler, I usually have breakfast early in the morning. At 6:00 a.m., however, the breakfast room was already crowded with a large group of very noisy tourists, which made the experience less pleasant.
Despite these inconveniences, our stay overall was still pleasant.

Above all, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff's efforts to manage the City Hostel clean which is too old and out fashioned building.
* Location & Transportation
Without noise, it is the best location to stay. It is located at 2 2-minute walk distance from Attaba subway station that connects to the Ramsis Railway Station and the Egypt Museum, only 1~3 stops away, charging 6 EGP per way. Of course, you can go to both by walk in 20 minutes. It means you can also enjoy the Nile riverside which is close to the museum.
And it is a 2-minute walk distance from the Attaba market which is the biggest public market in Cairo and so many locals visit to buy their livelihoods stuff at a cheap price.
In addition, you can also walk to the Al Azhar Mosque and Khan El-Khalili traditional market in 30 minutes, and St. Marc Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in AL Azbakeya in 10 minutes
Two problems I experienced are firstly the noi⁹sy from 8 am to 3 am outside the building due to market area and cars' horns. It took 3 days for me to adapt it. Any room in the hostel cannot escape it without changing the windows to soundproof ones. If you are sensitive to sound, it is better to find other lodges in a residential area or modernized ones.
Secondly, its location on the Uber taxi map and other maps is not accurate, so drivers have some problems in finding the city hostel. I have to meet them in front of the KFC next to the Attaba subway station. The signboard of the hotel is too small to recognize it.
* Building and room conditions
Like many other buildings in Cairo, the hostel building is old and shabby. The interior design and facilities are also outdated. However, the staff manages it so clean, particularly a common toilet and shower room.
It is quite convenient a washstand in each room.
However, it is bad there is no electronic kettle to boil water in a room or a common space. I could not enjoy my tea or coffee time at any time. I have to ask for hot drink water every morning when receiving breakfast, and store it in my tumbler.
It will be better to provide a tea or coffee service area in the hostel.
* Cleanness & Safety
Cleanness and safety are very good. I have no issue with this.
* Services
There is no basic service that most guesthouses provide in general: toilet paper and drink water.
Wifi is too weak to use the internet.
Other services like laundry are satisfied.
* Others
During my stay, I couldn't enjoy having an exchange time with other travelers. I think it is because there is no reason to stay in a common space where only sofas and a table are. Largely guesthouse provides a commonplace where guests enjoy better the internet or drinks including tea or coffee and foods, which makes guests meet each other naturally and structurally.
In conclusion, if the hostel provides basic services like toilet paper and commonplace with drink water and electronic kettles, it will be much better.
And it is necessary to change its signboard so that is more recognizable.
Except issues I mentioned above, it is a very good budget lodge.

IInvitéWe stayed here for two nights on two separate bookings, We had requested on the first day of check-in to join the beds, but they had not done it on the first day, and neither on the second day. They came and handled it at 8:30pm on the second night. The TV was not working on the first night and they told me they would let the IT department fix it on the second day, but that did not happen either. When we were leaving for our day out on the second day, we told the reception to handle everything while we are away, I guess they completely forgot.
