Very Disappointing Stay I booked this stay after seeing it recommended on TikTok, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to the hype. It also wasn’t in the centre of town, which made getting around less convenient than expected. The mattress was so soft it felt like I was being swallowed by it, making it really uncomfortable to sleep. The room itself was extremely hot — even after turning off the radiator it was still warm, and the only way to cool it down was by opening the window. That would’ve been fine, except the noise from the spa pumps ran all night and made it difficult to rest. We must have been given an older room because it looked nothing like the pictures we saw on TikTok. Parking was valet-only and cost £25, which felt excessive. On a positive note, the room was clean, but it was also quite small and definitely in need of an update. Overall, not the relaxing experience I was hoping for.

I can't tell you about my stay as I booked the wrong dates. As soon as I found out, I phoned The Oyster Inn to cancel but because I used Trip.com, they said there was nothing they could do. I cancelled on Trip.com and the message said that they'd contacted the hotel to confirm if it was ok to cancel FOC. According to trip.com, no response was forthcoming so my booking was not cancelled. My booking has since been ”completed”. When I contacted the hotel the following day to ask why they had not approved the cancellation, they said trip.com had simply asked for info, not to approve cancellation. Who is lying? Suffice to say, I will not use trip.com again and have decided to stay elsewhere in Oban.

We booked 2 rooms 1 night last minute booking. I got Junior suite for me & my husband. Room is very spacious for UK standard, sea view is very beautiful Seaview. The hotel has lift thats very good for travelers with many luggages.The room is a little cold so we switched on spare small heater which is warm enough. Their specialist amenities are very good. Whisky Honey. Oh.our room door isn't working, that's pretty scary.

Weird smell in the shower room, but it seemed to disappear after a few hours. The bar was great. Didn't eat the food but the menu looked good. Staff were comforting. The room decor was lovely. The most storage I've seen from a hotel room. It's a bus ride from the town centre and the train station, but the buses are infrequent. Inconvenient walk. The scenery was beautiful, I got photos that I posted on my instagram. I couldn't see a vending machine.

This was our third stay at Stonefield castle. It is a beautiful building with a nice bit of history. The grounds are extensive with scenic views and wonderful walks. The staff at the hotel were courteous and friendly. There were many lounge rooms and a well stocked bar. It is a handy place for a short stay near Tarbert if you are touring the Loch Fyne area. We shall return.

Very good stay , the bedroom was a good size and comfortable. The hotel was in a superb spot with great views over the bay. The food in the restaurant was good quality but I thought rather expensive. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant service was very good with attentive staff. The place could use some modernisation but this did not detract from overall enjoyment.

Lovely resort stay with beautiful landscapes and gorgeous golf view with beach nearby. Enjoyed the calm and peaceful nature. Would love to stay there longer for my next visit. Delicious breakfast spread (made to order with various choices).

La chambre lumineuse est spacieuse et confortable avec lit et salle de bains ensuite. Concierge a fourni un grand conseil local et le petit déjeuner était bon et substantiel. Convenant et calme avec une voiture.

Excellent location in the heart of Tarbert. Beautée view over the port. Easy access and parking nearby. Breakfast delivered to the room was beautiful with hot toast and a selection of items. La chambre était spacieuse, propre et confortable. Nous avons apprécié notre séjour.

La chambre est très propre et confortable. Seul une nuit est restée et n'a pas utilisé les installations de loisirs, bien que la piscine et la piscine extérieure semblait fantastique. A eu un repas absolument incroyable dans le restaurant. Excellente expérience.
