Everything was going well until I had to deal with one of the hotel's receptionists during the evening shift. When I asked for a replacement room key because I had accidentally left mine in my room, she was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. I first tried to get a new key using the self-service kiosk, but it didn't work. I then asked for her assistance, and she reacted rudely from the start. She walked away, visibly annoyed, and returned to the reception desk. I followed her and provided all the necessary information, including a copy of my passport and my reservation, which was under my name. Despite having all the information, she kept asking me the same questions I had already answered several times and repeatedly told me, in a condescending and abrupt tone, that she couldn't find my reservation. Her attitude was completely unprofessional and extremely impolite. This experience completely changed my impression of the hotel. Customer service is my top priority, and unfortunately, this hotel failed to provide even a basic level of courtesy and professionalism. For that reason, I would not recommend this hotel.

Location and history of the hotel was remarkable. It was within walking distance to everything we wanted to do in the downtown area. Parking was very expensive though.

La chambre était très belle et mise à jour. La situation était excellente et à une distance de marche au concert Kid Rock. Il était sur la voie navigable, donc il a fait la marche agréable ....proche des restaurants aussi. Le parking dans le garage de l'hôtel est abordable à 17 $ pour 24 heures.

Un hôtel correct et solide, même s'il paraissait un peu vieillot par endroits. Dommage que la piscine soit fermée ; elle n'ouvrira que le 26 mai. Malgré la chaleur déjà présente fin avril, nous avons pu profiter du soleil, mais pas de la piscine. Excellent café en chambre le matin, lits confortables avec matelas et oreillers moelleux, réfrigérateur et télévision/cinéma ! Le personnel était aimable et serviable. En revanche, le prix de la chambre me semble élevé !

Very happy with this hotel. A convenient location to get to the Moody Center in a short time frame, amongst other spots we planned on going too.

Absolutely loved my stay here! The room was spotless, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the location was perfect. Everything exceeded my expectations and made the trip so much more enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

L'hôtel était très bon. Le seul plainte que j'ai eu était que j'avais ma Do Non Enter/ Non Disturber (ne sais pas ce qu'il a dit) pendant sur la porte quand je suis allé au magasin. J'avais l'argent qui était laissé sur le compteur et d'autres valeurs que je n'avais pas mis dans le cc sécurisé, je n'avais pas le temps de la jeter là.

Great Service, Lovely Breakfast — but Room Noise and In-Room Dining Could Improve I recently stayed at the Thompson Houston and overall had a great experience, especially thanks to the excellent service. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional. Their attention to detail really made me feel welcomed, and I was touched when they surprised me with a graduation cake — a thoughtful gesture I truly appreciated. The hotel breakfast was a highlight. The food was fresh and well-prepared, and once again, the service stood out. Dining in the morning felt like a treat thanks to the welcoming atmosphere. That said, there were a few downsides that affected my stay. The room was quite noisy, even late into the night. It was hard to relax or fall asleep with the amount of outside noise coming through. Also, I ordered in-room dining on two occasions. On the first day, everything was great. However, the next day the fries were noticeably soggier, the salad was just a bowl of greens with six tiny avocado cubes, and — most concerning — the aioli on the side looked like it had already been used. Overall, Thompson Houston left a positive impression on me, mostly due to its exceptional staff and quality breakfast. I hope they can improve the soundproofing and ensure consistency in their in-room dining service.
