L'hôtel est idéalement situé à côté de la gare centrale et au bord du centre commercial. Dans le hall, vous pouvez travailler et prendre un thé ou un café gratuits. Le personnel est jeune et informel. Les chambres ne sont pas grandes, mais un bon lit et une salle de bains. Malheureusement, nous trouvons le péché de mort pour chaque chambre d'hôtel: une bouteille de glisseur des anciens clients sous le lit. Bien que la chambre n'était pas saine, c'est bien sûr un point d'attention.

Just a short (thankfully downhill) walk from the railway station (extensive rail and bus services give easy access to almost anywhere in the Netherlands) the hotel is an even shorter walk from the north bank of the Nederrijn with its shady walks and numerous restaurants. Very handy as there is no restaurant at any IHG Express. As I arrived mid-morning the room was not ready but the staff (more about them later) were happy to store my case until I returned that afternoon (and again after checkout before leaving on an afternoon train). The room itself was a good size with a large comfortable bed, a functional desk and chair and a comfortable chair. Air conditioning kept the temperature stable and the lighting was good - not the ”fashionable” near darkness of some. Bathroom was good with a spacious shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. Coffee and tea available. Breakfast is the only meal offered and is a fairly basic standard european offering. Meats, eggs and cheeses were adequate, yoghurt good, fresh fruit salad very good indeed. Coffee was machine provided and good with a variety of offerings. No hot options (standard with the Express brand) and I did not try any of the other cold choices. Although fairly centrally located with easy access to shops and all the usual facilities and infrastructure the room was quiet and peaceful. An Albert Heijn mini-supermarket opposite attracted small groups in the evening but was not a bother - indeed very useful for an occasional small purchase. All standard and as expected for the brand so why mark it excellent? I will come back to the staff who were unfailingly excellent - helpful, cheery and friendly (though never less than professional) and recognised me by the end of day 1. A credit to the hotel and its management. This is now my first choice when next in the vicinity

We've stayed at this hotel before for the airborne anniversary and it's such a lovely place to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast is great. Rooms very spacious with great views of the river. Parking available but an easy walk into Arnhem or on the bus route. Can also get bus onto Oosterbeek easily. We will be back!

Goed ontvangen door de nachtportier en een receptioniste, Tot aan de kamer is het hotel goed verzorgt. Eenmaal op de kamer lijkt het wel de jaren 80. Schimmel in de badkamer, meubel in de badkamer hangt te laag. Geboekt een tweepersoonsbed en wij kregen, twee eenpersoonsbedden met een dunne topping. Mijn vrouw werd met rugpijn wakker. Koffie op de kamer was echt onder de maat. Overal lag stof. Hygiëne was 5-sterren niet waardig. Volgende keer toch een ander hotel kiezen.

Nous avons eu une chambre de luxe rénovée, qui pourrait expliquer certaines différences avec les expériences d'autres personnes et nous sommes très surpris, sauf pour le restaurant de dîner (voir révision séparée). La chambre de Fletcher est très confortable et très confortable. Area séparée avec bureau et canapé, salle de bains avec tube et douche séparés (toutes un peu encramé) et dans l'autre moitié de la chambre une WC séparée. Nice lit, balcon, bonne WiFi. La piscine était surprenantment bonne et grande pour un hôtel, également une sauna gratuite. Le petit déjeuner est décent, plus de 3 étoiles en variété et un peu lente dans les recharges. La chambre avait des défauts : pas de gants, etc. pour mettre les gants, et de bon gel de douche et de shampooing fournis, mais absolument rien en termes de savon, ni liquide ni béton.

Le petit déjeuner est un buffet d'hôtel normal, oui L'hôtel a un style dans son ensemble, et les chambres sont toutes conçues. La chambre n°6 dans laquelle j'habite est de style QR code, et la chambre n°27 est de style tissage. L'emplacement est également pratique, non loin du centre-ville Les installations sont également complètes et l'environnement est propre. Les autres demoiselles sont très enthousiastes et patientes. Let me start off by saying: if you are looking for a nice area for walking and cycling, this hotel may be worth it. The surrounding woods are quite nice. Other than that, don't expect much. As others have already mentioned, it's not a typical hotel but more of an outdated holiday resort. It's not even close to being worth 4 stars. There are two rooms per building, using the same main entrance, and you have to pay extra if you want the ground level room - which is apparently also the only one with a kettle and coffee machine. The stairs to the first-floor hotel room are quite steep and not accessible to everyone. The vibe it gave was 'sleeping over in your 70-year-old uncle/grandpa's attic'. The rooms are very old-fashioned, with no clock, an old radio you can't plug in because of the lack of outlets, and a bit of a musty smell. The 'two-person bed' is just two single beds pushed together, so if you want to be intimate with your partner or just sleep close together you will most definitely end up in the gap in between. The beds don't sleep great, either. There is no airconditioning so it gets quite hot in the summer with no way of cooling down, and the wifi is not too stable. There is also some mould in the shower, as well as rust, and the window in the bathroom does not open. The toilet sometimes refused to flush properly. Breakfast was standard, don't expect any vegan options except for bread and peanut butter. You are allowed to take some stuff for lunch, though, which is nice. There is no fridge in your room however, so keeping things cool is not an option. Also bring your own cutlery, plate & cup if you plan on buying breakfast/lunch at a local supermarket, because the room only comes with two plastic-lined paper cups. There is only one vegetarian main course on the restaurant menu, but the chef was very kind and made the vegetarian lunch options dinner-sized for us. Vegan would definitely be impossible, though. The restaurant and pool are also not that easily accessible for people in a wheelchair or with a walking impairment. Definitely get some sort of voucher or discount deal, otherwise the prices are way too high for what you get. You're not allowed to order food from Thuisbezorgd etc. The pool is... well, it's not much. It's small but barely anyone goes for a swim there, so chances are you will have it all to yourself. Bring something like a diving game or a ball if you want to have anything fun to do. The showers don't really work and half of them only have cold water. There is a tennis court but it will cost about 12 euros per hour to use it, and the 'sports fields' that are on the map they give you have become overgrown and cannot be used. You're not allowed to park your bike next to/close to your building but there is an old shed-like building in which you can store your bike. Het hotel is werkelijk prachtig. Mooie entree, vriendelijk personeel en heerlijk gegeten. Maar toen de lift open ging, viel onze mond open. De 1e zat vol gepropt met asiel zoekers. Allemaal op badslippers en blote voeten. De 2e lift ook vol met asiel zoekers met dekens en allemaal troep. Het rook enorm in de lift. Wij gingen mee en stopte op de 3e. Daar stond een hele menigte asielzoekers te wachten. Achteraf hoorde wij van personeel ,dat verdieping 3, 4 en 5 vol zitten. Heel erg vreemd, dat deze mensen de hele dag 2 liften in beslag nemen. Sorry, maar ons zie je niet meer bij vd Valk. Zowiezo is Duiven erg duur. Maar dan verwacht ik wel iets anders!!!

Je réside plusieurs fois par an dans cet hôtel Les lits sont confortables- super petit déjeuner en revanche le restaurant est très décevant - nous avions un plat qui « sonnait » très sympa mais en réalité il n’y avait que du riz au fond avec de la viande de bœuf filandreux - je n’en revenais pas , en entrée une soupe aux potirons qui était bonne ! Enfin bref j’aime beaucoup cet hôtel et son petit déjeuner extra en revanche je n’y mangerai plus au restaurant, c’est dommage car un membre de ma famille y a fêté son mariage il y a 10 ans et la cuisine était magnifique à cette époque là ! Ceci dit ça ne m’empêchera pas d’y retourner car c’est un lieu d’histoire très cosy le personnel accueillant, en revanche plus de restaurant 🥴
