As you drive into the hotel massive reception room plenty of chairs to chill or have a drink , we where meet with a warm smile from the receptionist, and explained everything
The rooms are big very clean , we eat in the restaurant very average price for decent food , but service charge was high
Only downside is you have to pay parking for your stay
I used Hilton's a lot on business in the past & Dover lived up to my high expectations. Booked 3 twin rooms for 3 nights for a reunion. Very happy with our stay & will book again. Friendly, attentive staff. Spotlessly clean rooms & bathrooms. Some of the comfiest beds we've slept in. A few issues with (cold) breakfast (resolved) & a great selection. Some of our party enjoyed the sauna. One downside - the single lift is very small & slow creating a bottleneck.
We have booked a long weekend stayed at the hotel in June. It is located close to the long beach which is great for a walk or a run. There is a fantastic cute cafe near the hotel called cafe on the beach. Coffee and pastries were excellent. Breakfast buffet was nothing special but acceptable for the price. Spa and pool facilities were great except that they charge you extra for bath robe and slipper. You have to ask at the reception for those. There is also no travel toothbrush tooth paste or shampoo. We were not expecting to pack them with us as we are used to having them provided by hotels which we have stayed. I would say this is the first time we have experienced this. Staffs were excellent, polite and very welcoming. It is worth staying if you travel close to the area.
Stayed one night for a local wedding. Excellent communications before arrival as I was at the wedding at check in time. Everything done over the phone and on arrival at night after the wedding the staff helped carry my luggage which I had left in my car in the grounds. The bed was very comfortable. Shower excellent as was breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. No complaints at all.
The Hotel seemed a bit lacking … just in that extra of what you’d expect when you are paying for an expensive stay! The staff were pleasant and the room was very nice but no toiletries in the changing room for the swimming pool. Finished dinners and glasses not cleared away. Seemed to be a bit short staffed and the music from the marquee was very loud until midnight. A nice stay but not coming away refreshed as planned unfortunately!

Booked to stay here over half term with my daughter for a couple of nights - had a cosy room which was just right for the two of us.
Front reception staff were really kind and helpful.
Breakfast was lovely - the lady there was so nice and although was busy as she was on her own, she was always smiling.
We dined in the restaurant one of the evenings - food was delicious but the heating wasn’t working on that floor so the whole room was cold. Bar / restaurant staff were really nice.
Overall, we had a lovely stay and we would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

XXRMThis was genuinely a wonderful and most special place.
The Rocksalt Rooms are in a separate building to the Restaurant - but you check in at the latter and walk you over. Note all the streets here are cobbled, which can be slippery when wet.
They are a real BoltHole as they are described, and there are only four total. 2 on 1st floor, 2 on 2nd floor, with one per floor harbour facing. I'd definitely suggest that the upgrade is worth it.
The rooms are compact but exceptionally well presented. I've odd little niggles, theres no bedside of any kind - floating shelf would work, where do you put your mobile? And the metal bed frame is ornate and was loose on the footboard.
The biggest challenge is where to put things. There are a few hangers on the back of the door and a small set of hooks, but not a drawer or proper place at all. I get space is a real premium here - bedside with 2 drawers all you need!
The wet room is compact as everyone says. You won't keep the floor area outside the shower dry, it's not possible. The sink is a corner one with no space to place things but there is shelf in the bathroom for all your luxuries. The body wash / conditioner / hand soap / hand moisturiser are great quality.
Noise - it's by the Harbour so they start early, but for us it was part of the charm of the location, the fresh fish smell was totally incredible.
Breakfast is not to be missed, across in the restaurant with the best view, it's harbour side. Loved the granola, yoghurt, compote starter. I had English Breakfast as I was hungry, it was great quality but disappoining - it was more style over substance. The bacon is cooked to crispy, not my style at all but great quality. He had the Salmon & Eggs and it won hands down. Local, fresh, decent portion, on wonderful Sourdough. Luckily I was saved a bite.
A point or two more - the bedside light fused the circuit and the room was plunged into darkness. Looked for fuse box, could not find. Ended up in Restsurant. They had to get keys to a location they used to own but don't now (ground floor of the Rooms building). This took a while as the keys had to be obtained. I get how this used to work, but not now - the fuse box needs moving. The if we cant fix option was check out and refund - erm no!!
There is the most incredible Team member behind the Bar/ Restaurant from Bulgaria whose name I have really tsckily forgotten. For which I apologise.
She is truly wonderful and made the visit for me, id return solely to see her again!!!
Overall we loved Rocksalt Rooms and would return, to have dinner in the restaurant too!

UUtilisateur anonymeNous avons séjourné ici 3 nuits en août 2025 et c'était charmant. Les couloirs peuvent être un peu déroutants, alors faites attention aux numéros de chambre pour ne pas vous retrouver dans un couloir inconnu. La chambre était propre et assez spacieuse pour 2 personnes, et d'une propreté impeccable. Ma chambre offrait une belle vue sur la cour et une vue partielle sur la mer. Le dernier jour, quelques clients chantaient et jouaient du piano en bas, c'était très agréable à regarder. Il n'y a qu'un seul ascenseur dans l'hôtel et le trajet jusqu'à son étage peut être très long, ce qui peut être un peu agaçant. Nous avons également demandé le nettoyage de nos chambres pendant 2 jours, et nous avons constaté que les draps n'avaient pas été changés (j'ai renversé un peu de café sur un côté et la tache est restée pendant les 3 nuits). Les serviettes n'avaient pas été changées non plus, nous avons donc dû appeler la réception pour en obtenir de nouvelles. Il y a un Costa au rez-de-chaussée, dans le hall, ce qui est super – dommage qu'on ne puisse pas commander ! Il semblerait que le personnel de l'hôtel fasse aussi office de barista chez Costa, car nous avons attendu debout pendant 30 à 40 minutes avant d'être servis. Hormis ce petit incident, notre séjour a été excellent. L'emplacement de l'hôtel est idéal : juste en face de la mer et à environ 10 minutes à pied du rivage.

IInvitéPerfect sized room, lovely set up, the hotel itself is huge and so well presented. Gorgeous swimming pool. Lots of places to sit down and eat if you would like too. There is a gym and a spa also (we didn't use these but we know they are there) there are phones in the rooms so you can order room service if you wish. The staff knocked on our door on the second evening and asked if we would like any refills on teabags coffee or sugar or any fresh towels. So well mannered and polite. Just an over all lovely place to go and its literally beside Brands Hatch where we needed to be. Cannot fault this place..

Le salon de la salle de bains est très confortable et très confortable. Le plafond au-dessus du toit a besoin d'attention, beaucoup de parking très bon et les lits étaient super confortables. Les TV ont besoin de plus grands et plus nouveaux. Petit déjeuner très gentil.
