First time staying here and I really like this hotel. Everything feels clean, new and modern. I especially love the little details, like the cups they use and the lighting in the room. The bathroom mirror light turns on automatically when you walk in, which is really convenient. They also provide complimentary coffee and some snacks outside. Overall, a very comfortable and pleasant stay. 😊 You can really tell that they put thought into the little details, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

Cet hôtel à Penang est proche de la Colline de Penang et de Kek Lok Si. Je l'ai choisi car j'ai vu qu'il n'était pas loin de George Town en taxi. Les installations de l'hôtel sont complètes et répondent aux besoins de base. Bien qu'il n'y ait pas de bouteilles d'eau, il y a un distributeur d'eau à chaque étage et une bouilloire dans la chambre. L'espace est un peu petit, donc la disposition de la salle de bain est un peu inconfortable, et il y a un peu de bruit d'évacuation. La chambre dispose de la climatisation individuelle et le système d'économie d'énergie refroidit rapidement une fois la carte insérée. Le quartier est résidentiel, ce qui permet de découvrir les marchés locaux et les marchés alimentaires. Il y a quelques restaurants simples mais bons.

Excellent, au-delà de mes espérances. L'endroit était unique, propre et hygiénique, et le service impeccable. Pendant que nous attendions notre chambre, le personnel, remarquant notre longue attente, nous a offert des boissons. Le petit-déjeuner était également très bon. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel et j'y retournerais sans hésiter si je revenais dans ma ville d'origine.

Top ! Bien situé, très facile d'accès ! Le ménage est fait au quotidien et les serviettes changé également c'est très agréable étant donné les fortes chaleurs (au moins 2 douches par jours) Une laverie à proximité et une épicerie à 2min et de nombreux restaurants !

We stayed two nights at Summer Tree Hotel Penang during our trip to Penang. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was its location — right in the heart of Georgetown near Komtar, which makes it very convenient for getting around. It also offers parking, which is a big plus in this area. Another reason was the late check-in option, as I was having dinner with a friend in Nibong Tebal, which is quite a distance away. The pricing was also reasonable, making it an attractive choice overall. Upon arrival, however, parking was already full. I had to park at a space right in front of the hotel where delivery trucks usually arrive in the morning. This made me slightly anxious, as I was worried I might be asked to move my car early the next day. The lobby is simple but modern, with a creative, slightly hipster and artistic vibe — almost like a small modern art space. There are vending machines offering snacks, drinks, and essentials for travelers. At the back, there are toilets and also a laundry area with washing machines. A small coffee corner and even an old-school arcade game machine add a nice nostalgic touch, which was a pleasant surprise. However, the room itself was quite disappointing. While the room is basic and small — which I don’t mind — the flooring under the carpet felt severely damaged. Walking on it felt uneven and almost “soft,” as if the ground beneath had deteriorated. It gave a very uncomfortable and unsettling feeling, possibly due to moisture or termite damage underneath. Another concern was the bathroom design. There is an elevated step at the entrance, which becomes a clear trip hazard. I actually tripped once when entering. Even after that, I had to be very cautious because the floor just outside the bathroom is extremely slippery. Every entry and exit required full attention. There is also no proper shelf or platform inside the shower area to place shampoo or shower gel. We had to repeatedly open and close the glass door just to access toiletries during showering, which was inconvenient. Only basic amenities like shower gel and liquid hand soap were provided. The room was also advertised with a decent view, but the window was covered with a mesh, and since we were on the first floor, there was very little to see. On the positive side, the water dispenser outside the room was very convenient. The next day, parking was still full, so we had to park at a private area nearby. Since it was raining, the walk back to the hotel was quite inconvenient as well. Overall, while the location and concept of the hotel are strong, the room condition and safety design issues need serious attention. I would strongly recommend replacing the carpet flooring with vinyl wood flooring for durability and hygiene. As for the bathroom layout, improvements may be limited due to structure, but safety enhancements like anti-slip flooring would make a big difference.

L'hôtel Pinkcabana est un hôtel économique et convivial, idéalement situé à 150 mètres d'un important pôle de transport permettant de rejoindre facilement tous les coins de l'île de Penang, ainsi que les lignes de bus interurbaines. Des bus desservent notamment le pied de la colline de Penang, les superbes plages de Batu Ferringhi et la paisible ville de Balik Pulau. L'hôtel est également proche du centre commercial et de Chinatown. Profitez des restaurants de Chulia Street et de l'animation nocturne de Kimberley Street.

Deux chambres, deux balcons avec vue imprenable, eau chaude privée, baignoire et réfrigérateur ; le personnel de la réception est très attentionné. La plage est juste en face et des restaurants et supermarchés se trouvent à proximité, ce qui est très pratique. Seul bémol : la connexion internet est parfois instable.

Comme George Town n'est pas une grande ville et que les sites touristiques sont proches, n'importe quel hôtel fera l'affaire. L'hôtel Bishop vous permet d'accéder facilement au parc du bord de mer, à la tour de l'horloge, au Fort Cornwallis et au front de mer. Le personnel de la réception est agréable et serviable. La chambre est propre et bien rangée, mais j'aurais apprécié un rideau ou une paroi de douche.

It's located a little further in from the main street, so it's quiet and peaceful. Staff was friendly and provided refreshments upon checking in. Rooms are very clean, and the room I chose was spacious with plenty of room for luggage and shopping. We took the breakfast package but didn't have time to try it due to our early flight. Thankfully there's a free shuttle bus service to and from the airport. Didn't really have time to enjoy the facilities but the swimming pool looks nice.

La location de l'hôtel est magnifique et merveilleuse. De nombreux pubs et cafés sont à pied. 10 minutes à pied au marché proche pour le petit déjeuner. 2 minutes à pied à la rue du marché nocturne pour le dîner. La chambre est décente.
