Hôtels 4 étoiles à District fédéral, Mexique

We loved staying here although we did have a few hiccups. We arrived before check-in but we could leave our luggage at the hotel which was a relief. Unfortunately we lost our luggage ticket while out, but the front desk employee Grecia made it seem as if it were a huge problem and that we would not be able to retrieve our luggage at all. She did not reassure us even after we expressed confusion and concern. However once we had already gotten very stressed about this, another employee simply asked for our identification and quickly resolved the problem (which was their standard protocol). The stress was avoidable. When we arrived to the room we had to call to request robes and slippers, and there was only one water bottle even though we were two guests. In the bathroom, there is only one hook for the towels, which was inconvenient. The shower also leaked water all over the bathroom which is an architectural problem and can’t really be helped but was annoying as the bathroom floor was wet. The lighting in the room was also very dim, but that might just be a personal preference. Multiple times when requesting towels or water from room service, we had to call several times to remind them of our needs (we even once went personally to remind them at the front desk after 3 times of calling). On our last day we were eager to enjoy one final breakfast, which is listed as being from 6am-11am. However the food was not set up until 6:20-30, so we had to rush to eat before checking out to make it in time for our flight. Also at breakfast there is no self service tea or water station, and although the staff are attentive, it’s too much for them to be able to meet everyone’s needs at rush hour breakfast. However despite all of this we are left with a great memory of staying here. The food at breakfast was delicious, and most of the staff were very kind despite the delays in service. The location is convenient and the room was comfortable. I do not regret staying here although for ~300 USD a night I might expect a little bit more attention to detail.

Excellent location! Walking distace to main avenues and transportation points. The staff was very friendly and helpfull at all times. the room was spacious, with individual unit (heater/AC) Some rooms have jacuzzi, you need to request it at moment of reserving a room. The hotel offers buffet breackfast(for extra charge) All and all, good value gor money I will stay there again here when visiting CDMX again .

To get to the hotel in T1 you need to go to gate 8 and go up the escalator. Although it says Radisson (or other hotel chain) it actually takes you to this hotel. By the time I arrived to Mexico City, the internal transfer train from T2 to T1 wasn't working (it is currently under maintenance). I am not sure if the hotel has a shuttle bus but at the airport they indicated me to take the ”red bus”; it charges 25MXN per person but then I learned there was another bus next to it that takes you for free to T1. The room itself was fine, although it had certain Indian smell, not sure if from previous guest or the lotion they have by the sink. I spent only one night there due to late arrival and early next day flight. Although I checked out very early, they managed to prepare the breakfast for me. The chicken sandwich was a blessing in my next flight. 2 things that were not so great: One of the 2 elevators to get to the lobby from the airport were not working properly, aways getting stuck at the lobby floor. In the room, the curtain was not closing entirely, and the bright white light of the airport was easily entering in the room (I am not sensitive to light to sleep but some people may). I would recommend this hotel if you were just sleeping over for the night. There is nothing touristic around, but the airport offers you plenty of food options nearby the hotel.

J'ai vérifié 2-3 jours tard en raison d'une urgence et ils ont dit que toutes les réservations de 4 nuits étaient annulées, même j'ai encore deux nuits à rester. Ils refusent aussi de rembourser, donc je viens de payer pour un séjour de demi-jour parce que je devais avoir un vol à la nuit et ils ont payé presque plein, le récepteur n'a jamais été gentil de me dire que la différence est juste peu pour un séjour de nuit. Alors j'ai décidé de rester pendant la nuit, je me suis réorganisé le lendemain, j'ai eu une réunion et je ne vais pas attraper mon vol, puis quand je suis retourné à l'hôtel, ils ont acheté de l'eau qu'ils demandaient pour le numéro de la chambre et le nouveau récepteur m'a dit que je devais aver checked out cause there's a note that I can only stay until 6 or 7PM, I checked in at 2PM, lol. Payed almost 70USD for that, then I told them to extend until next day at 2:00PM, then they charged me for another almost 80USD. Aucune considération, il demandera certainement à l'app de réservation de demander le remboursement de séjour de 4 nuits qui n'a pas été utilisé qu'ils refusent de rembourser, ils disent qu'il n'y a pas déjà de show que je suis apparu le 3e jour. Lol. Kinda triche tactique. Et je déteste. Je l'ai laissé partir.

Beautiful hotel, great location, but unfortunately, the noise makes it extremely difficult to recommend staying here. The music from the rooftop bar starts getting louder around 6 PM and continues until approximately 2 AM, and it seems to get progressively louder throughout the night. It was genuinely impossible to relax or sleep in our room. We were even given earplugs, but they did very little to help. If you plan to be out until 2 AM every night, you may not notice it. But if you are looking for a relaxing hotel where you can come back, unwind, and get a good night’s sleep, this is honestly a terrible experience. We also booked a Deluxe King room but were put in a Queen room for our first night. We were not able to get into the correct room category that we booked until after 5PM the following day because the Deluxe King room was ”not yet clean.” No upgrade or compensation was given for this mistake. It’s a shame because the property is beautiful but a hotel room that you cannot reasonably sleep or relax. I would strongly recommend asking about the noise before booking.

Points positifs : Le personnel est aimable et serviable, parlant anglais et espagnol ; l’emplacement est idéal, dans le quartier de Roma Norte, ce qui facilite les déplacements ; la vue depuis les étages supérieurs est magnifique. Points négatifs : Les parties communes, à l’exception du hall d’entrée, des ascenseurs et des couloirs, sont très insalubres. Les toilettes pour hommes au 10e étage dégagent une forte odeur et les abattants sont manquants. La laverie est mal entretenue, de nombreuses machines sont hors service et il n’y a pas de lessive ni de liquide vaisselle ; il faut en faire la demande au personnel. Les chambres sont mal entretenues et présentent des taches disgracieuses sur les murs.

El personal es muy amable, las instalaciones muy buenas. Sin embargo, la habitación en la que estuve era muy pequeña. Si planeas estar trabajando en tu habitación no lo recomendaría. De ahí en fuera, la ubicación es excelente.

Everything was fine though the shower was from iceberg cold to barely warm, no where near hot. A hot shower is one of the more important details for a hotel room, especutan executive hotel. I took a shower around 10 pm, and another at 4:45 am and both showers were at the same cool temperature despite the water temperature being at the hottest faucet setting. The bed was comfortable, the air temperature was exactly what we wanted, the little coffee packet was fine, the mini fridge was cold, the water pressure was good, the Internet was fast enough, and the TV screen was large(60”?). There were plenty of things that were good, but we really wanted and expected a hot shower, especially given the price of the room. (Room 105) We didn't have time to mention the water temperature as we were on a tight travel schedule. Nonetheless, a hot shower is an obvious expectation for an executive hotel or even lower end hotels and motels.

We really loved staying at Tonala. The hotel is located in Roma Norte, a trendy neighbourhood in Mexico city. We could walk to all the nice restaurants ans cafes for food and drinks. There’s a really popular cafe downstairs for pastries, breakfast and coffee. And there’s a famous seafood restaurant as well as a fancy Michellin reservations-only restaurant next to it, right across the street from the hotel. Walking to the historic centre, La Condesa and the museuems took us about 15 minutes or so. The room is spacious and came with a great shower with working hot water. The air-cons worked really well in both the living and bed rooms. The laundry room is free to use from evening onwards. And the rooftop pool was great for a quick dip. Overall clean not just in our room but the stairs, lobby and rooftop and lift. Definitely 5-star and I would gladly stay there again when I next visit Mexico city.

Plus tard, j'ai su que cet hôtel était historiquement long et j'ai reçu beaucoup de célèbres. L'aménagement à l'intérieur est très classique, il fait sentir que les gens sont encore plus calmes, d'autres services sont encore plus efficaces, le service de la chambre rapide est également plus rapide, les installations de la chambre elles-mêmes seront comparées, Mais je pense que c'est déjà très bon à l'étranger, et que le rapport coût-efficacité est très élevé. Et sa position géographique est également très excellente. Il est très proche de la station de métro de Rome, il y a de bons restaurants et beaucoup de bars autour de lui. D'une manière générale, je pense que le rapport coût-efficacité de cet hôtel est très bon.
