Aujourd'hui, c'est le ferragosto italien du 15 août. J'ai regardé les milliers de photos prises pendant les deux mois de ma sœur et moi voyageant en Italie cet été, et j'ai rappelé une partie de la beauté du voyage. Cette fois, nous sommes allés dans plus de 20 villes, villages et villes du nord au sud, puis du sud au nord, et avons séjourné dans de nombreux styles différents d'hôtels, de palais et de familles d'accueil. Parmi eux, le Palazzo Stunis qui vit à Ostuni Puglia est particulièrement mémorable. Cela fait un demi-mois que je suis revenu à Shanghai. Chaque matin, quand je bois un café à la maison, je pense toujours au Palazzo Stunis dans lequel j'ai vécu. Son charme particulier est l'intimité chaleureuse et familière lorsque j'entre par la porte. Après avoir discuté avec le propriétaire, j'ai appris que la maison est une entreprise familiale qu'il a héritée de son grand-père. Tout, de la couleur du mur, du motif peint à la main au plafond, de la mosaïque du marbre au sol, du mobilier, de la vaisselle à l'équipement de douche de la salle de bain, des serviettes pour les invités, tout est impeccable et élégant. Le mobilier ancien facilement disponible est poli et poli, exsudant l'extravagance mais pas l'ostentation, et met naturellement en valeur le sens historique de l'immobilier ancestral sans révéler aucune atmosphère ancienne et pédante. L'hôte, Matteo, est très sincère et poli. Nous sommes émus chaque matin par le copieux petit-déjeuner qu'il a préparé avec soin. La table est recouverte de nappes blanches amidonnées et d'élégantes assiettes bordées d'argent sont posées sur la table. Avec de la vaisselle en argent et un tissu blanc soigneusement plié et brodé de petites fleurs. Il a sorti le cappuccino en discutant doucement, en nous présentant les endroits où aller tous les jours et les restaurants où il aime aller, puis il nous a aidés à contacter la voiture et le chauffeur. Pendant les quelques jours passés ici, la beauté de chaque journée commence par son petit-déjeuner... Jusqu'au jour du départ, Matteo nous a aidés à porter nos lourds bagages et nous a conduits dans la voiture. La prochaine fois que je retournerai à Ostuni, je revivrai certainement avec lui. Aujourd'hui, j'ai écrit une critique sur TripAdvisor, ce qui est une petite récompense pour l'hospitalité de l'hôte.

C'est un hôtel convenable pour quelques jours, les chambres sont petites et basiques mais très propres. Nous avions une belle vue sur la mer au loin. Séjour pratique à Ostuni si vous avez une voiture car ils offrent un parking gratuit et l'hôtel est en dehors de la ville, donc en dehors de la ZTL. Vous devrez monter la colline pour accéder aux sites et aux restaurants de la ville. La première nuit, cela a semblé un peu difficile, mais nous nous sommes rapidement habitués à la randonnée, ce n'est pas mal du tout et il y a beaucoup de bars et de restaurants charmants pour vous récompenser. Le petit déjeuner était inclus et était parfaitement convenable. Le personnel de cet hôtel n'était pas très sympathique mais si vous persévérez et utilisez un peu d'italien, ils reviendront. Mon impression du personnel du restaurant était qu'ils étaient jeunes, un peu timides et pas trop expérimentés - assez juste, ils apprendront. La jeune femme à la réception a été très utile pour nous réserver un club de plage un jour et cela a été très apprécié.

To start I want to make it clear that the staff were very friendly & helpful, and I am not commenting on the rooms in the main hotel as I did not see them. This review refers to the 'country' rooms and the pool. We arrived in your hotel as agreed on the evening of September 30th and were shown to the smallest hotel room I have experienced (14). It had a shared ‘patio’ and no windows…..plus the safe was locked, not that that mattered as it wasn’t attached to anything so anyone could have walked out with it. The bathroom was perfect for a slim person but being a little portly, it was a challenge. A genuinely large person would not have been able to get into the bathroom!! at all. It was tiny and not comfortable to use. The decorations were fine and the room was clean. To say that it was small was an understatement. I had to go outside to change my mind!! We immediately complained and the next day we were moved to a larger non-refurbished room (5). Whilst larger it was unmodernised and still had no windows. The room was in poor condition with cheap furniture and a separate bed in the ‘entry room’ that was not exactly clean. There is no way that this was 4* accommodation. It reminded me of the Australian soap called Prisoner Cell Block H (we immediately christened the room as such!!). It was like a cheap motel and warranted 2* at best. Like I said, I am commenting on the 'country' rooms only. Breakfast was very basic and the 'chef' seemed genuinely shocked that someone might want an omelette. The coffee was awful but the bottled fruit juices were a nice touch. The final issue was that when my wife enquired about pool towels, she was told that they would be €10.00 per towel and that if we wanted to change it when dirty we would need to pay another €10.00. Bearing in mind that the plastic beds by the pool were filthy, this would have been cost of €20.00 per day. The pool itself was okay but you had to wear a swimming cap to use it...which of course they charged for!!! I have never stayed in a hotel where you were charged for a pool towel and this should certainly not be the case in a 4* hotel. This was denied by the hotel after we walked out but my wife absolutely validated the information. In addition, the wifi was utterly useless, even in the main building. We left on Saturday Sept 2nd as we had simply had enough of staying in the 'country' rooms, which did not meet 4* standards in any way.

Magnifique escale d'une nuitée lors de notre roadtrip dans les pouilles. Accueil chaleureux et professionnel dès notre arrivée, avec prise en charge d'un service Shuttle et cocktail de bienvenue. Nous sejournions dans la suite ”le volte”, avec tout le confort attendu. Suite d'exception avec le jacuzzi et la grande terrasse qui offre une vue imprenable sur la vallée et l'horizon. Le service est remarquable, tant au niveau du patio/piscine que des spas (service massages) ou du déjeuner. Le restaurant étoilé michelin fut à la hauteur de nos attentes au niveau qualité et innovation de la nourriture et, encore une fois, nous avons bénéficié d'un service personnalisé, chaleureux et professionnel tout au long du repas. Ce fut d'autant plus apprécié du fait que ma compagne était enceinte. A recommander sans hésitation à Ostuni.

La salle a été très relaxante et soignée. La fleur à l'œil de cet hôtel sont les garçons à la réception. Très unique!!! La seule chose qui n'a pas marqué très bien sont les chambres un peu “arrangées” mais pour le reste tout excellent
