Cet hôtel est idéalement situé en bordure du lac Majeur, dans le quartier calme de Palenza, à l'écart de la route qui fait le tour du lac. D'autant plus au calme qu'il n'est pas immédiatement sur le port, mais à seulement 5 minutes à pied de celui-ci et de ses restaurants. Nous avions réservé une chambre supérieure mais avons été surclassés en junior suite. 35 m², un dressing, un balcon sur le lac (petit mais suffisant pour y installer deux chaises). Le top! La literie est confortable. La grande pelouse au pied de l'hôtel permet de se délasser au soleil ou à l'ombre des grands arbres, c'est au choix. Le seul point d'amélioration serait d'ajouter au mini-bar présent dans la chambre une bouilloire et une machine à café. J'ai lu que des clients se plaignaient de la télé trop petite et du wifi un peu capricieux. C'est vrai mais franchement, on ne vient pas ici pour regarder la télé ou surfer sur le web ! La vue que l'on a de la fenêtre de la chambre suffit au ravissement des yeux. Je reviendrai sans hésiter séjourner dans cet hôtel.

Cet hôtel historique est exceptionnel, au niveau de sa situation au bord du lac Majeur, son architecture, son élégance, son accueil et son service nettement au-dessus de la moyenne et à tous les niveaux, sa propreté, et j'en passe. Nous y retournons régulièrement et chaque séjour est un délice. Magnifique, le restaurant non seulement sert un petit déjeuner hautement varié, mais sa cuisine fine et délicate ravit le palais exigeant dans un cadre évoquant le second empire à l'italienne, soucieux du détail et du rappel historique.

Rien à dire. Tout était parfait. L’accueil était magnifique même pour notre chien. Un lit pour chien dans la chambre, un jouet et surtout le sentiment qu’il ne dérangeait pas. Je précise que notre chien est très bien éduqué, et que nous faisons de tout pour que personne soit déranger par lui. Nous avons eu un transfert depuis la gare, déjà là tout parfait. Le chauffeur très gentil. La réception à l’hôtel parfait. Bref, nous y retournerons.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise and a highlight of our trip in the northern lake regions of Italy. We had to leave the Lake Como region as we were only able to find one night for an acceptable hotel there (i.e. clean and not run down), so we drove on to Lago Maggiore hoping our newly booked hotel would be as wonderful as the pictures showed. We ended up staying two nights and we were very sad to leave onto the next portion of our trip! To put it into perspective we came from a Hilton to this hotel and while the Hilton was impressive, there was something more pleasing and charming here. It is a completely new hotel along Lago Maggiore. Having finished construction in late August/early September, they had almost no wear and tear in the hotel. It is also ideal as it is located close to a ferry location, no more than 10 minute walk. This made it ideal for visiting the other islands around the lake. Their downstairs dinning room for breakfast and dinner were absolutely amazing. I cannot say enough about the chef or the professionalism of the staff. The knowledge of their maître d' taught us so much not only about the different food and wines, but the history and culture of this beautiful Italian city. They have a roof top area for lunch and I do recommend you use it as the view is spectacular. It is a relaxing way to spend the evening. Also, as it is located right along the lake, there is a long access of walkway just on the other side of the street to stroll and enjoy the views of not only the lake but some of the islands you may visit. A good consideration when having to walk off the excess meals you are sure to delight in! If you are in the norther lake region, do make Stresa a planned stop. I believe you will enjoy it much more than Lake Como as it is far enough from Milan so that it does not suffer as much from traffic congestion as Lake Como. And if you are staying in Stresa, look no further than here.

Prenotato con Wonderbox. Ci informano che, pur avendo già modificato la camera classic in superior, tali camere non sono disponibili e ci consigliano una “ de luxe” con sovrapprezzo di 70 euro. Accettiamo e troviamo una camera pulita e spaziosa ma con mobili ormai usurati ed il pavimento rivestito da moquette. L’ aria condizionata non funziona. Non ci fermiamo per la cena, ma solo a colazione. Le torte sono state comprate al supermercato e chi vuole lo yogurt deve accontentarsi di quello naturale non essendoci alcuna scelta. Caffè espresso,preparato al bar,veramente scadente. Mentre facciamo colazione stanno pulendo una parte del pavimento del salone ed una signora passa allegramente vicino ai tavoli con secchio e mocio. Da un hotel a 4 stelle ci si aspetta molto di più.

Nous venons de passer 4 nuits à l’hôtel, avons mangé au restaurant gastronomique et au Bistrot. Tout a été parfait! L’hôtel: Grande chambre triple très confortable avec un un grand lit et un lit une place. Rien a dire tout était très propre et chambre faite tout les jours. Une douche pluie et avec pommeau qui a une très bonne pression ce qui est rare d’habitude dans les hôtels. Sèche cheveux (pour les cheveux long peut-être prévoir son sèche cheveux car pas très puissant). Petit déjeuner buffet délicieux Personnel absolument charmant et à l’écoute! Restaurant gastronomique l’Atelier: Une pure merveille du début à la fin! Ils ont même fait un plat de pâte pour notre fille de 5 ans qui n’allait pas prendre le menu à la carte. Un grand choix de vin et des portions plus que généreuses! Un passage obligé pour tout ceux qui apprécient la bonne nourriture. Restaurant de l’hôtel le bistrot: Excellent et généreux! Merci pour se séjour plus qu’agréable! Nous reviendrons!

We had a triple corner room (with 2 balconies) which was very spacious compared to other hotels we've stayed in,bathroom had a bath and separate walk in shower. Staff all very helpful and friendly with good English. Ample selection at buffet breakfast, continental and bacon and scrambled egg available. Very clean in all areas. Great location, across from the lake, near the ferry station, lots of restaurants and little shops nearby. Double glazing kept the room quiet from street sounds. Others have commented on lack of soundproofing but we had no problem, once or twice heard next doors shower running but only when in our bathroom. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again if I return to Lago Maggiore. We were in room 104, in the Stresa part of the hotel.

Nous avons séjourné à l hôtel splendide en famille, nous avions pris une chambre double pour mes beaux-parents et une triple pour nous avec notre fille de 5 ans et nos 2 chiens. Tout était parfait, les chambres avec vues sur le lac majeur avec la grande terrasse sont très soignées. Une très bonne literie et le calme malgré l importante fréquentation en cette période estivale. Le personnel adorable que ce soit au restaurant de l hôtel ou à la réception. La cadre est somptueux avec une vue panoramique sur le lac, la piscine de l hôtel et la plage privée avec transats vous séduirons ainsi que le spa avec Sauna hammam et une vraie salle de sport en supplément. Je recommande cet établissement, si vous cherchez un lieu de déténte et de bien être, réservez vite ! Nous avons hâte d y retourner !

En fait, tout était très bon. Petit-déjeuner parfait. Le restaurant Last Hall laisserait un truc mieux, par exemple, il ne serait pas servi à la main. Coût supplémentaire pour le parking de 19 € /Tag, dans quelques parkings sur la surface de l'hôtel, est déjà sportif, surtout lors de la réservation, Je me souviens que cela n'est pas explicitement mentionné et que les coûts cachés ne devraient pas être attendus.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise and a highlight of our trip in the northern lake regions of Italy. We had to leave the Lake Como region as we were only able to find one night for an acceptable hotel there (i.e. clean and not run down), so we drove on to Lago Maggiore hoping our newly booked hotel would be as wonderful as the pictures showed. We ended up staying two nights and we were very sad to leave onto the next portion of our trip! To put it into perspective we came from a Hilton to this hotel and while the Hilton was impressive, there was something more pleasing and charming here. It is a completely new hotel along Lago Maggiore. Having finished construction in late August/early September, they had almost no wear and tear in the hotel. It is also ideal as it is located close to a ferry location, no more than 10 minute walk. This made it ideal for visiting the other islands around the lake. Their downstairs dinning room for breakfast and dinner were absolutely amazing. I cannot say enough about the chef or the professionalism of the staff. The knowledge of their maître d' taught us so much not only about the different food and wines, but the history and culture of this beautiful Italian city. They have a roof top area for lunch and I do recommend you use it as the view is spectacular. It is a relaxing way to spend the evening. Also, as it is located right along the lake, there is a long access of walkway just on the other side of the street to stroll and enjoy the views of not only the lake but some of the islands you may visit. A good consideration when having to walk off the excess meals you are sure to delight in! If you are in the norther lake region, do make Stresa a planned stop. I believe you will enjoy it much more than Lake Como as it is far enough from Milan so that it does not suffer as much from traffic congestion as Lake Como. And if you are staying in Stresa, look no further than here.

We visit Intra on a regular basis to catch up with family and have stayed at hotel Ancona on each of our last 4 visits. We keep coming back because each visit is such a pleasant experience. You can not get a better location overlooking the lakefront and near the ferry terminal and the main square. The rooms are generally a good size with all needs catered for. We normally stay in the apartments which are larger but cheaper than the lakefront rooms and more suited to a longer (7-10 day) stay. Even though these rooms don’t have a view themselves you can sit out on the front patio, overlooking the lake, for breakfast and in the early evening (or anytime you want). Breakfast is definitely a unique offering with fresh orange juice squeezing machine, blocks of chocolate, real honeycomb, as well as a good selection of more standard offerings. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and you see the manager at breakfast most mornings checking up on how things are going. Highly recommended and certainly better value than the bigger hotels in Stresa.

Jolie petit hôtel avec patio chambre numéro 30 familiale pour 4 personnes au 2eme étage. très bien situé. bel emplacement vue magnifique sur le lac Majeur petit déjeuner parfait copieux propre .allez-y en toute confiance . Pas de parking privé. Se garer dans la rue.
