Hôtels 3 étoiles à District national, République dominicaine

I had stayed here before the pandemic about 3 times. The property is very clean, it is located in the older ”colonial” part of the city. Traffic in this area is a nightmare due to the narrow streets. SAFE area, police presence all over. The GOOD: Clean, Safe, Staff Friendly, plenty of places nearby to eat. Breakfast supplied is ample and of decent quality, food for linch or dinner in the hotel restaurant is good though limited menu, space for seating is very limited inside the restaurant, water pressure in the shower is excellent the room safe is large. The BAD: Room Small like an IBIS, Bathroom smaller than an IBIS, A/C in my room was ”marginal” at best and previous stays here noticed this, Elevator very slow, the worst part this is not a business hotel. While the Internet provided is decent, there is NO work space available at all in the rooms. NO electrical outlets available all are hidden behind furniture or the bed and no desk type area. Had to charge my phone in the bathroom outlet and use computer on battery. Also had a room phone and minor toilet issue which I reported twice and nothing was done. DO NOT have the hotel arrange for the hotel taxi to drive you to the airport cost is $50.oo ! Make your own arrangements or get an UBER. CONCLUSION: While on vacation for a couple of days this is a Nice place to stay and see the colonial sights and enjoy the atmosphere. However, ”on business” this is not the place to stay. I will be returning on business for a longer stay in late January or early February, unfortunately I will have to stay elsewhere.

I’m all for a colonial experience but not when it’s overpriced. El Beaterio is charming and feels authentic. Old wooden beams, clay tiled floors, wooden armoires, four poster beds which were surprisingly excellent. Even the bathroom was clean, had great water pressure & temperature. WiFi worked well enough. I suppose my issue with El Beaterio is how cold and unfriendly the service was all around. Reception was frosty and all business. They were quick to ask for a 50$ deposit even before they asked for my passport. And the front desk guy was also too quick to push for a tour HE was guiding the next day even if his English wasn’t particularly a strong point. Breakfast, while good and hearty, was again served with nonchalant silence. I suppose management doesn’t care much for attempts at warmth or sincerity —but what stings is the price. One would expect just a bit more from a property that charges 100$usd per night especially around Zona Colonial where there are plenty of choices. So go ahead and book if you’re in for the “colonial” experience. Just don’t expect old world charm or regular world friendliness or professionalism.

Le petit déjeuner était vraiment bon et délicieux. Le personnel était très sympathique, je leur ai juste écrit pour changer de chambre mais ils ne m'ont pas répondu, alors je leur ai conseillé de vérifier les messages et de répondre rapidement. La chambre avec 1 lit queen était vraiment sympa. Ils n'avaient pas beaucoup d'options pour 2 lits jumeaux, même si c'était propre. La climatisation fonctionne très bien. Il est vraiment bien situé dans le centre-ville, il y a plusieurs restaurants et bars à quelques pas.

Points négatifs 1. Chambre 316. Climatisation hors service. Écran de la télécommande cassé, panneau de commande illisible. Impossible de changer de chambre, l'hôtel étant complet. J'ai dû dormir dans une chambre avec seulement un ventilateur. 2. Le ventilateur semblait défectueux au départ, mais le personnel a réussi à le réparer. Une fois en marche, il était bruyant. 3. Pas de miroir dans la chambre. 4. Une fenêtre donne sur le couloir intérieur, la seconde, dans les toilettes, donne sur l'extérieur. Points positifs 1. Personnel de la réception très aimable, notamment le réceptionniste de nuit qui a résolu le problème de la climatisation et du ventilateur. Ils parlent tous deux bien anglais. 2. La télévision propose quelques chaînes en anglais. 3. Il y a un ascenseur et la chambre dispose des équipements de base. 4. Emplacement idéal, avec un bon restaurant à proximité.

You cant go wrong with this one. Very nice staff, good location, good bed shower and modern. Plus is the self laundry- washing and drying. Very good and new facilities and it is free. Will def go with this one again.

Cher petit hôtel au bord de la vieille ville! J'aime bien! Les chambres sont très différentes de la situation! J'ai aimé la chambre 11 avec l'aperçu des arbres devant la maison dans le parc! Un peu sombre, mais calme et relaxant! Les autres chambres sont dans le jardin. Malheureusement, le personnel ne parle pas anglais. Mais ils veulent regarder les spectacles de réalité dominicains tout le jour, et ce sans sonnette! Mais cette silence des téléphones mobiles est entendue partout en Amérique latine! J'espère que cette maladie sera bientôt terminée!

Le personnel est très ami et professionnel prêt à vous fournir toutes vos besoins. L'anglais est parlé, ce qui est un plus pour les non-espagnols.

They need to clean the room every day, they don´t do it the bathroom was dirty the breakfast is ok I will try not to go back to this hotel
