The hotel is nice, from the station about 10 minutes walk almost in a straight line, wake up. The room was originally wrong, it was reserved for smokers, even though we don't smoke, the room was given the appropriate one, the smell in it was just not very good, like for those who don't smoke at all, it started already on the floor.But the staff, fortunately, were able to find us a replacement for a non-smoking room, yes, less, yes one big bed instead of two, but with stunning mountain views and a coffee machine. L'emplacement et le personnel sympathique sont excellents. La propreté est également appréciable. Cependant, la chambre était trop petite et la climatisation aurait besoin d'être améliorée, d'autant plus qu'elle soufflait directement sur le lit. Le petit-déjeuner était délicieux, mais le menu n'a pas changé du tout pendant mon séjour de trois nuits et quatre jours ; je n'en ai donc presque pas mangé après le troisième jour.

📍 Hotel Keigetsu 信州昼神温泉郷 日長庵 桂月 @ Hirugami Onsen, Nagano 🇯🇵 We stayed 3D2N from 13 November 2025 at Hotel Keigetsu (日長庵 桂月), and it turned out to be one of the best choices for our Nakasendo trip. The ryokan sits in a peaceful corner of Hirugami Onsen, surrounded by nature and traditional Japanese charm. There is a designated parking area exclusively for guests, accommodating around 15-20 cars of all sizes, making it very convenient for self-drive travellers. We chose a Japanese-style room with a private bathroom, and the highlight was the beautiful wooden bathtub — perfect for a relaxing soak in complete privacy. In the mornings, the view from our room was calm and peaceful, with gentle bird chirping adding to the serene atmosphere. Our stay included breakfast and dinner, and both meals were exceptional. Each dish was beautifully prepared using seasonal ingredients, and the servers were patient and friendly, taking time to explain each course and share stories about local flavours. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced the dining experience. The ryokan is within walking distance to the Morning Market, just about 10 minutes away, making it an enjoyable little morning stroll. There is also a FamilyMart right beside the ryokan, just a short walk away — extremely convenient for drinks, snacks, or last-minute essentials during your stay. The staff also introduced several nearby activities and hiking trails, and the routes are super visitor-friendly, making this ryokan an ideal base for exploring the Nakasendo area. The onsen baths were another highlight — soothing, clean, and filled with Hirugami’s famously smooth, skin-friendly hot spring water. Perfect for unwinding every evening. Overall, Hotel Keigetsu offers excellent food, warm service, relaxing onsen, comfortable rooms, and unbeatable convenience, whether you’re here for onsen relaxation or the Nakasendo trail. Highly recommended for a peaceful, authentic, and memorable ryokan stay in Nagano. ♨️🍁🌿✨

Ski confortable, chaud et confortable

C'est un hébergement très pratique et abordable. L'hôtel est idéalement situé : à proximité immédiate de la gare JR (accessible à pied), et avec un parking automatisé juste à côté pour environ 1 200 yens si vous venez en voiture. Je le recommande vivement à tous ceux qui visitent Matsumoto.

Реальность превзошла ожидания, отель оказался лучше чем я думала. Очень удобный номер для семьи и маленьким ребенком! Есть индивидуальный источник для семьи по предварительной записи, немного маловато времени для использования но в целом супер! Качественная и вкусная еда, разнообразно. Есть возможность продления пребывания за 1000 иен в час, с ребенком это супер удобно. Не совсем чисто в коридорах отеля из за старости но в номере чисто и хорошо.

Je me sens comme vivre dans une maison confortable, très confortable. Je peux sentir la richesse de la nature, le calme et le relax de la fenêtre.

L'Hôtel Blanc Grand Hakuba est situé dans les montagnes, à environ 30-minute de la ville principale (station Hakuba / Terminal Happo Bus). L'hôtel propose un service de transport par voies ferrées quotidiennes entre l'hôtel, la gare Hakuba et le café de Lion, qui se trouve à proximité du terminal Happo Bus. Il n'y a pas lieu de se préoccuper de l'être « coincé » dans les montagnes juste rappeler de réserver vos sièges de navette à l'avance. Les intérieurs de la chambre et le paysage environnant sont beaux words ne peuvent pas le décrire complètement; c'est quelque chose que vous devez vraiment expérience pour vous-même. Vous pouvez commencer à skier ou à snowboard en dehors de l'hôtel. La vue du haut de la corde était magnifique. Le personnel est très aimable, utile et chaleureux. Nous avons eu le petit déjeuner et le dîner au restaurant à l'intérieur, et les repas étaient bons et satisfaisants. Le cygne est disponible pour la matinée et le soir, il est disponible pour une utilisation privée à un supplément, ce qui me semble bien valable. En général, je reviendrais certainement.

I stayed at Hotel Marroad Karuizawa, which is about a 12-minute walk from Karuizawa Station. The surrounding area is very quiet and peaceful. The lobby has a charming retro Showa-era vibe, and the hotel is a two-story building. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very quiet. The Japanese-style futon mattress was thick and extremely comfortable, while the Western-style bed had a good balance of softness and firmness. The room amenities were well provided, and the hotel staff were very friendly. There is also a shuttle service to the ski resort and the station, which was very convenient. Although the hotel is a bit far from Ginza Street and nearby convenience stores, taking a taxi only takes about five minutes, so getting around was still quite easy. That said, there are a few minor drawbacks: 1️⃣ There is no elevator, escalator, or ramp from the entrance to the front desk, which makes carrying luggage inconvenient. Many guests have mentioned this issue. 2️⃣ The sink has separate hot and cold water taps instead of a single mixer tap, which feels a bit outdated and less convenient. 3️⃣ The air conditioner is relatively loud. Even in sleep mode, it turns on and off automatically, which can be a bit annoying at night. 4️⃣ The hotel uses traditional keys instead of key cards, and you need to leave the key at the front desk when you go out. That said, this also adds to the nostalgic atmosphere of the hotel and fits well with its retro style.

L'hôtel est idéalement situé en face de la gare et l'accueil à la réception était excellent. Cependant, la chambre et la salle de bain étaient très petites ; il était même difficile d'y déplier une valise. Il n'y avait pas de prises électriques près du lit, une rallonge était donc nécessaire (fournie dans la chambre).
