The staff doesn't try to hide the unequal service offered to foreign guests compared to that of the locals. No staff member offered to help us with our luggage. The rooms have poor sound isolation and you can hear your neighbours and the room above very clearly, particularly foot steps, which make sleeping difficult.

We recently stayed at Furano Winery Hitohana Hotel and had a very enjoyable experience overall. The hotel exceeded our expectations in many aspects, and I would like to commend the team for providing such a comfortable and welcoming stay. One of the biggest highlights was the thoughtful range of complimentary amenities. Having free washing machines and dryers was incredibly convenient, especially for travellers on longer trips. The onsen was clean, relaxing and well maintained, and we appreciated the complimentary green tea, roasted green tea, lemon water and drinking water available outside the onsen, which made the experience even more refreshing. The staff were consistently warm, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They were always willing to assist whenever we had questions, which made us feel genuinely welcomed. Our room was spacious, quiet and very well equipped. The kitchenette was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed, making it easy to prepare simple meals. We were also pleasantly surprised that the hotel had already prepared a proper bed for the third person in our group before our arrival. The refrigerator included a freezer compartment, which was particularly useful for storing ice cream and frozen food that we purchased during our trip. We also appreciated that complimentary coffee and tea were available throughout our stay. One of the most memorable experiences was the daily complimentary wine tasting during happy hour. As an added bonus, the hotel also provided us with a voucher to redeem a complimentary bottle of wine at Furano Winery, which was a wonderful gesture and a unique way to showcase the local winery. While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, I hope the hotel will consider a few areas for improvement. The hotel's location is slightly away from central Furano, so having a car is highly recommended. This was not a major issue for us, but guests relying on public transport may find it less convenient. The parking arrangement could also be improved. The car park is located about a three-minute walk uphill from the hotel. While the distance itself is manageable, the walking path consists of loose stones without a proper pavement. At night, the area is very dark, and during rainy weather, it can become slippery and potentially hazardous, particularly for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. Additional lighting and a paved walkway would greatly improve both safety and accessibility. Lastly, although breakfast was enjoyable, we found the selection somewhat limited compared to other hotels we have stayed at in Furano. For example, during our previous stay at La Vista Furano, the breakfast offered a wider variety of Japanese specialties, including fresh sashimi and Furano melon, as well as complimentary late-night soba, which created a more memorable dining experience. At Furano Winery Hitohana, the breakfast leaned more towards Western offerings. Expanding the selection of local Japanese dishes and regional specialties would further enhance the overall guest experience. Despite these suggestions, we had a wonderful stay and would gladly recommend Furano Winery Hitohana Hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful, spacious and comfortable accommodation in Furano. The generous complimentary amenities, excellent service and thoughtful hospitality made our stay truly memorable. Thank you to the entire team for making our visit such an enjoyable one.

Les chambres sont spacieuses et offrent une vue magnifique. Un comptoir dédié au poulet est également à disposition. Au 16e étage, un salon gratuit propose boissons, café, vins rouge et blanc, saké, bière, noix et en-cas. Les plats japonais et français, servis avec des baguettes, étaient excellents, et le service impeccable.

Nicely renovated hotel. Unfortunately staff are new and surprising not many front desk staff can converse in English.  Breakfast was good with many choices. However, we couldnt eat most of the time as my family has to go for activities early like skiing and local tours. The cafe  staff allows us to start breakfast before the opening time but an English speaking lady with a coat turned up one morning and stopped us from starting breakfast early before the opening time. She was so rude and told us wait till 630 before we can touch the food! I dont see why we cannot start with cereals that was already on display.  I will return to stay as the hotel is new, rooms are large and the onsen is clean and comfortable. There was a gym and laundry facilities too

I absolutely love Hanabishi Hotel — I had the best 2-night stay here. The hotel is quiet with no large tour groups, and I really enjoyed the traditional feel and relaxing vibes. I tried all of their room types, and my favorite is the futon room with a private onsen. The futon is very comfortable, and the room itself is incredibly spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful, even assisting me with arranging taxi service. The location is convenient, only about a 10-minute drive from Hakodate Airport. I also loved both the breakfast buffet and the dinner set — they truly pampered me like I was the queen of the world. The public onsen is beautiful and huge. I will forever choose to stay here whenever I’m in the area.

1. Transports : L'hôtel n'assure pas de transfert et n'indique pas le mode d'arrivée. Bien qu'il ne soit qu'à environ 300 mètres de la gare routière d'Uden-ro Onsen, il est difficile de marcher avec un gros sac dans la neige, et Google Maps est mal situé. En réalité, des arrêts pour le centre naturel, l'aéroport et la gare JR se trouvent juste devant l'hôtel. 2. Situation : Proche de la mer, mais séparé par la jetée, pas vraiment en bord de mer. Des montagnes s'étendent de part et d'autre ; la chambre avec vue sur la mer offre peu de vue sur le lever et le coucher du soleil. Les bains du huitième étage, situés à l'ouest, sont visibles, mais peu adaptés aux photos. Comparé aux hôtels Kiki et Shiretoko No. 1 situés en montagne, la visibilité de cet hôtel est médiocre. 3. Équipements : Bonnes installations, prix correct. Les bains sont petits, l'expérience est acceptable pour les personnes peu nombreuses, mais jugée moins satisfaisante par les personnes plus nombreuses. Salle de sport et salon confortables. 4. Repas : Petits déjeuners variés, manque d'œufs et de fromage chauds, petit four, peu de places assises près des fenêtres. Le menu habituel est fraîchement préparé, mais la quantité est insuffisante et les ingrédients sont ordinaires. Heureusement, vous pouvez acheter des boules de glace à la pâtisserie à l'entrée. Le café maison est délicieux et abordable. 5. Service : Basique, aucun service, expérience médiocre. En bref, si vous n'y avez jamais vécu, vous pouvez essayer. Si vous y avez vécu, je n'y retournerai probablement pas.

L'endroit est absolument somptueux et féerique ! Nous y sommes allée en mars, un groupe de trois amies, et c'était magique. La chambre était parfaite, le service excellent. Les personnes étaient si gentilles. Le bain chaud privé est vraiment un plus. Nous avons passé une incroyable soirée. Le repas est bon, les produits de qualité même si nous n'avons pas tout mangé car certaines choses étaient très étranges pour notre palais de françaises. Merci également à la masseuse ! Tabino Hotel Ishikari (旅之酒店石狩) is a relatively new hotel that opened in late 2025, and it quickly became one of my favorite stops during my Hokkaido trip. Located in Ishikari City, it’s about a 15–20 minute drive from central Sapporo areas like Hokkaido University or Odori Park, making it a smart choice for those who want easy access to the city without staying right in the busy downtown. One of the first things that struck me was the massive parking lot—it’s a spacious, flat, free parking area with plenty of spots, even for larger vehicles (though larger ones might need prior arrangement). No stress about circling for a space or paying extra fees, which is a huge plus for self-drive travelers in Hokkaido. The room felt pleasantly spacious compared to many budget or business hotels in Japan. I could fully open my suitcase, unpack comfortably, and still have plenty of room to move around. All rooms come equipped with handy in-room amenities like a washing machine, microwave, and fridge, which are great for longer stays or if you want to heat up snacks. The surroundings are remarkably quiet and peaceful, giving that relaxing escape-from-the-city vibe, especially at night. Yet, convenience is never compromised—there’s a 24-hour convenience store (like a 7-Eleven) just a 1-minute walk away, perfect for grabbing late-night snacks, drinks, breakfast items, or anything you need without driving. It’s such a thoughtful location balance. One of the biggest highlights is the on-site hot spring facility. The large public bath uses an artificial onsen inspired by Noboribetsu’s Shirakaba-no-Yu (white birch hot spring), with milky, smooth water that’s incredibly soothing after a day of driving or sightseeing. There’s also a sauna, making it easy to unwind and recharge right at the hotel—no need to hunt for external onsens. Cleanliness is top-notch throughout the property. Everything from the lobby and corridors to the rooms and bath areas felt spotless and well-maintained, with fresh linens and no lingering odors. It’s clear the staff takes pride in keeping the place immaculate. Overall, Tabino Hotel Ishikari offers excellent value: comfortable, feature-packed rooms, unbeatable parking convenience, that perfect mix of tranquility and nearby 24/7 shopping, plus the bonus of relaxing in the hot springs without leaving the hotel. It’s ideal for self-drive explorers, families, or anyone wanting a peaceful yet practical base near Sapporo. I’d definitely stay here again on future trips!

This hotel was amazing and I wish I had stayed longer! I waa able to book a room with a private onsen and it was such a treat. The private outdoor onsen was incredible and has spoiled me forever. The location is perfect and in walking distance of all the things to see around the city including the footbath and the shopping street. The service was so nice and accommodating as well. I checked in a bit late and they were able to accommodate me for dinner very speedily. I also had to check out early and they arranged for me to do so. English was totally okay! I saw/heard tourists from other Asian countries like Thailand and South Korea. Food was incredible as well - honestly I had no idea how to eat what I was served and hoped I didn't offend anyone with my eating etiquette. Everything was light and fresh and delicious.

La vue de la chambre était superbe ! C'est un peu loin de la gare JR, environ 10-15 minutes à pied, mais il y a des arrêts de tram et des supérettes à proximité. On peut prendre un bus depuis l'aéroport, et l'arrêt Omorimachi est très proche de l'hôtel. La chambre était super spacieuse, et le rapport qualité-prix était excellent ! En plus, on peut profiter des bains thermaux ! Même si ce n'est pas comparable à Noboribetsu, c'est quand même très agréable.
